I want to express my opinion about some types of knives.⚔

I think there are three types of knives:

1) Knife for self-defense. (STEEL TIGER)
2) Knife for self-defense in a very tight space, folding knife is easy to hide in the fist and has a short blade for better maneuvering. (Public transport). (RECON 1 TANTO PT 50/50 EDGE)
3) A knife for a quiet (hidden) attack. (SRK)

I have the Bagwell Bowie, made by Ontario USA. Mine is the "Gambler Model", which seems to be just like this design of The Laredo by Cold Steel! I picked mine up many years ago at a Gun Show here in Florida, on a Sunday afternoon about a half hour from closing time. From my experience at many Gun Shows, the best time to get the best deals is near closing time, on the Show's last day! The Seller gave me a great discount on this knife because he wanted to make a sale before closing and I got it for half his selling price! Cold Steel makes a great product and this Laredo seems to be designed almost exactly like my Gambler!

Lynn/Coldsteel has/had a strong following until he sold this Company! Now instead of continuing using premium steel you're using cheap low quality steel! You keep using Cheap steel and you'll lose a lot of your customers!I know I haven't bought any NEW Coldsteel just because of this reason,

He says this about a lot of knives.

I have the Laredo and the Natchez and I agree with Lyn. The Laredo is more agile in my hands. Love both!

A side-by-side comparison between the Natchez Bowie, Laredo Bowie, and Leatherneck Bowie would be highly appreciated.

The Laradeo is an AWESOME knife!! I have two...one in the CPM-3V...and the other in the 4034 steel...love the feel of it in hand!!!

In the past year I have really fallen in love with Cold Steel knives! I was already into firearms,but my son got into forging. So started listening to him talk about knife making and different steel. Before that I thought a knife was just made with steel didn't know there was any difference. I know that sounds ignorant but that's what I thought. Now after a year-and-a-half almost 2 years I have learned so much about knives the blade types the steel types even the grind types! I currently have the Cold Steel SRK, Mini-tac Neck Bowie and the Cold Steel Trail Boss Axe. My son also has a Cold Steel Professional Throwing Axe. Did I mention my son is a cold steel fan as well! I would love to win that Double Agent. I have that on my wishlist on Cold Steel's website.

My absolute favorite is the Voyager Vaquero XL serrated. But I never sharpen it. Is only for self-defense.And I live in Germany. Unfortunately I'm not politically correct Lynn 😅😉🫡

The version with 'cocobolo' handles with that wire inside, that was the dumbest design move Cold Steel ever made. My handle cracked within a couple weeks of purchase. Internet searches revealed many handles cracked. To be fair, I've used my Laredo in very hard core ways. Chopped down a tree. Opened a can. Other knives with more robust handles did all that without cracking. I hope the G10 versions they sell now don't have the same handle construction.

Secure-ex sucks and dulls your blade. It's been demonstrated over and over. They use it because it's cheaper to make by injection molding than a good Kydex sheath that has to be heat-formed over an accurate model of the blade.

"IT'S A PAIN IN THE ASS TO MAKE 3V PRODUCTS PERFECTLY!" ...yeah the 3V products suck because the grind lines are uneven. I BOUGHT A 3V NATCHEZ BOWIE AND A 3V TRAILMASTER AND THEY BOTH GOT RETURNED because of uneven grind lines.

Is this old footage, or is Lynn still making videos for Cold Steel? Also, how does 4034 perform, I've heard some say It's pretty bad and others say it's ok.

Awesome looking knives.. i own an original..but now im so disappointed in the knife.. it is not full tang!! Thought it was..has a cable, for half the handle as well as the Natchez bowie... so dissatisfied..will be selling trading both these knives that i have..

They don't make the traditional sheath no more? With the belt frog?

I wish I could change and install a bigger guard to protect my hands just incase. Loredo is great but the guard is too small.

Cold Steel used to be a joke when I was a kid. I still bought them. Then they became less of a joke. I still bought them. Now Lynn is out and I am less enthusiastic , but, still buying them. I hope they don't f' up what Lynn made.
