Ответить@ConicalRamirez - "Always" is such a strong word. Certainly a lot of kneebars have been finished without that detail, but I think that big toe against the head is an inherently stronger position!
ОтветитьLove this series. I have been reading a Saulo Ribiero book where he suggests learning "survival positions" (i.e. defensive positions that prevent or stall your opponent improving their position) in jiu-jitsu before anything else. What are your thoughts on this Stephan?
Ответить@skemeB34 99% of the time that's because you're not squeezing your knees enough. Try it and see if it fixes the problem!
Ответить@sirbassface I think that it's a very valid concept. 'Posture' isn't just for when you're in someone's guard - it can equally well be applied to being on the bottom in a bad position
ОтветитьI love how you do this. Most common mistakes is a great way to fix problems you never new you had. I have been rolling with people who aren't as good as I am (at some things) and have been able to get away with doing it wrong. I'd rather not learn the hard way. Thanks Stephan.
ОтветитьThis is very helpful! These videos make great teaching tools by showing the bad way first then show the good way! It's true that I've seen lots of kneebar attempts in MMA that makes those mistakes! They really should look more into Ken Shamrock, Bas Rutten, Oleg Taktarov, Kazushi Sakuraba, Frank Mir and Shogun Rua's kneebars, as they pull of kneebars properly (for them, once it's locked, it's a win, instead of most other people who struggle and let go in the end).

ОтветитьThe dislike bar is the size of the disliker's dick i.e. smaller than an ant's whereas the liker's bar is the size of the liker's dick, i.e. Huge!!!

If you r caching an armbar you never position the arm straight down your body ..you always out it to the side of your pelvic bone ,this way its easy to avoid any balls damage ..just roll and roll itll come naturally to you over time ..and a good thing in jiu jitsu is to have a little bit tighter shorts couse if you have big balls and loose shirts it may come in the way sometimes...

ОтветитьThe foot goes under the armpit well for the kneebar, also. If you don't have a cup on, you can the the hip bone. I like your videos. I taught TKD/HapKiDo/Arnis for years. I would like to compliment your methods.

ОтветитьMy professor taught my class when we're doing an armbar to take it to the side so instead of the arm coming down on the balls it comes down just to the side of them
ОтветитьYou can also use add a twisting motion to the knee bar with the control you have on the foot. This makes finishing the lock a lot easier.
