Strawberry almond milk yogurt with lots of Grape-Nuts is one of my guilty pleasures. It's nearly $2 for a small thing of yogurt cause dairy-free isn't really a thing where I live. I feel so bad about how much it cost every time but it is so good. I'm the only one in my family who eats Grape-Nuts but I will say NEVER as cereal. In a parfait with bananas and berries is awesome. Have you put it in meatloaf? It makes hearty meatloaf don't get weird with any of the other ingredients and it's just like you used a nice expensive brown bread but cheaper and easier. My kids never helped cook so they think they have never eaten Mom's weird old lady food.
ОтветитьBringing poor Olivia in on an 11 count culinary crime for her FIRST one is in itself a crime. 😭😭
ОтветитьOlivia is serial killer crazy.
Angela is rat whisperer crazy.
For the alcoholic soup thing, if you put alcohol into a liquid and heat it up, the alcohol burns off (like vodka sauce or putting white wine into ground beef while cooking to take away that raw taste) but also in a lot of cultures (my point of reference for this is portugal) some people put wine into their soup, my father in law does this, i think its gross though wouldn't recommend
ОтветитьTalking about grape nuts, shows stock video of granola. Trademarks are apparently a thing?
ОтветитьLow key the last recipe is something my grandma makes every Christmas... and honestly it is a crime 😂
Ответить"It's very like clicks tongue on the mouth, you know what I'm saying?" oddly enough I do, and can think of like three recipes off the top of my head that are very clicks tongue
ОтветитьI take offense to y'all subjecting my hometown to the Jello people. We have to endure 120 degree summers. We don't need more torture.
That being said, my mom made the OG lime salad every year for Christmas, and we'd all take a Pity Portion.
I think I'm probably one of, like, 10 people under 50 years old who loves Grape Nuts. Sugary cereals make me sugar crash, so I go for the cereals with no sugar added. Most of the plain cereals taste pretty bad, but Grape Nuts has an actual flavor and a slight nutty sweetness that I love. I'm so upset that Covid killed the off brand versions so now it's like $5 a box and I can only buy it occasionally as a treat. It's legitimately my favorite cereal because I like the taste and it doesn't make me feel bad afterward.
That said, substituting it for protein crumbles is absolutely a crime. Beans, lentils, tofu, homemade seitan (rinsed flour dough), or even just more rice would all be perfectly fine, much cheaper and tastier vegetarian substitutions. You could put a potato in there. Anything savory before you go for my favorite breakfast cereal. Eww.
The burrito casserole gave me vibes of when my friend’s British family invited her for homemade “fajitas” and used mayonnaise instead of salsa.
ОтветитьI will confess that I was the 100% willing #1 consumer of grape nuts in my household as a child.
ОтветитьNever heard of alcoholic soups but my mom does make a MEAN weed chili!
ОтветитьOlivia probably wishes she was on this episode again after her teeth removal.
ОтветитьMy grandma used to make ambrosia that looked just like that. No cheese though. I was the only one in my family who liked it, but she'd make it special for me. <3
ОтветитьThe jello salad came from the same generation that crumbed lamb's brains, told their kids it was rissoles and forced them to eat it.
ОтветитьMy grandma also made a jello salad like that. Coconut, not cheese!
Ответитьa doogie 😭
ОтветитьThey almost made aunt mernas party-cheese-salad
ОтветитьAlcoholic soups?! 😂 they already use wine and vodka in recipes unfortunately, it evaporates when cooked. 😢
ОтветитьIt’s kind of wild that not many people in their 30s or younger ate jello salad growing up. HOWEVER, mayo??? I always had it using cool whip as the base, making it just a sweet, fluffy dessert thing. Mayo sounds vile 🤢🤢
Ответитьas a minnesotan, im offended by that jello salad. I needs the marshmallows and it's missing mandarin oranges or pineapple bits. it's better than it sounds if you do it right 😂
ОтветитьRewatching and just loving the religious trauma comradery with the grape nuts
ОтветитьHonestly of you omit the mayo and cheese from the jello salad it could actually be good I think.
ОтветитьI love how each sentencing goes something like...
Court: Maybr, like a slap on the wrist, bro.
Angela: Or community service?
Olivia: They should be force fed this dish in front of their family.
Homegirl came in so hot every time. Haha.
This made me want to make stained glass gello
ОтветитьThis is fun game❤❤❤ im dying, i love them
ОтветитьWild shizz with jello... Wait till she learns about aspic❤❤❤
Ответитьggez
Ответитьon rewatching this episode in a depressed haze, it inspired me to try spiced carrot and lentil soup (as it was intended), despite never having even heard of it before. 10/10, new comfort food unlocked. thank you for your service. O7
Ответитьno food should be that shade of green
ОтветитьJust wanna mention that y'all said Olivia was pescatarian but both Jello AND marshmallows have gelatin in them, which comes from collagen (from land animals)
ОтветитьOkay, my mom makes a jello salad for the holidays, but not with marshmallows and definitely not with COTTAGE CHEESE! That is diabolical! I actually like the jello salad she makes.
ОтветитьI didn't knew what was parsnip, I had to google it. Wow, and not only that, it's so commonly known either! Did I lived on a cave this whole time? I'm 38 and I learnt something new from a Smosh video. I'm in awe.
Ответитьwhy is angela serving ellie williams
ОтветитьEvery time I start getting overwhelmed with life, I rewatch all the culinary crimes out. There is something so comforting about this show to me.
ОтветитьPLEASE TRY INDIAN FOOD
ОтветитьYou should try Indian food
ОтветитьYou guys should definitely do Indian food
Ответить😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂🤣🤣😂😅🤣😂
Ответить"Why don't they make alcoholic soup?"
Me, internally screaming: BEER CHEESE SOUP!!!
i can't believe Courtney didn't know. growing up mormon i've had the original recipe of the lime jello thing multiple times (with marshmallows!) at some kind of potluck and it's always bad and i hated it and it is there in the background of my childhood, lurking
ОтветитьOlivia is the best sentencer 😂
Ответить
