Fifth Story was lucky that they had some credibility. In the US there was a Reality Show on VH1 called Man Band where Boy Band Members Jeff Timmons of 98 Degrees, Chris Kirkpatrick of *NSYNC and Rich Cronin of Lyte Funky Ones as well as Bryan Abrams of Color Me Badd performed and got booed at a Basketball Game. The Show was cancelled after Seven Episodes. Sadly Bryan got arrested for Assault whose been battling Alcohol Addction for 20 Years.

Power Of A Woman sounds alot like Best Of My Love By The Emotions from the 1970's who got screwed over big time bad themselves. In fact when the Song was featured in Boogie Nights opening sequence, they didn't get anything because they didn't write the Song.

The Phillipines also loved 98 Degrees from Ohio. I've noticed that The Asian Market really love their Groups from Bardot (Australia), as well as The Nolan Sister (Ireland then The UK).

What Vernie did is similar to what John Lennon and even Diana Ross did. Some came out of it with nothing, while one ended up Homeless and hid her sexuality. If you can check out Unsung, they do profiles on US Singers and they went to hell and back and while some survived others didn't.

Back in the 1980's when I was a Teenager, Duran Duran were the Golden Boys Of The White Teen Magazine Set such as Tiger Beat, 16, Teen Beat while Debarge where on The Cover of Tiger Beat's Sister Magazine Right On which was the First African American Magazine that debuted in 1972 and ceased publication in 2011.

Kelly should go on The Real Life Housewives of Atlanta where she could talk to Shomari (Blacque) who were discovered by Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes and Kandi Burress (Xscape) who is a successful entrepreneur who also wrote Hit Records for TLC (Scrubs) their Comeback Hit and There You Go for Pink. They could talk about what they went through, The "Politics" and how The Girl Group Phenomenon differs in Britian as opposed to America.
