I’m a truck driver. I was probably around 340 pounds back then. It’s been a long time coming. I’ve lost weight not long after I went local. I went down to 230. I went back up to 300 pounds. Now I’m almost back down to 230 but with relatively significant muscle mass. Using this summer heat in my room as a sauna from a heat perspective. I’m back down to the lower 200s again. I don’t ever intend to go back to being obese again. I will push and push myself. I started with intermittent fasting about halfway through, I came across L-Carnatine and it’s helped me accelerate my weight loss. I drink C4 as pre workout. I feel so much more alive than I have ever been before. I love it more and more. My confidence has greatly improved.

Watching this video opened my eyes to the fact that this long rut I haven’t been able to escape and which has, bit by bit, come to consume, dominate and even define my life is not what it appears. I have been looking at the entirety of my circumstances in ways that could not be more childlike, selfish, and small minded. I’ve needed to perceive the whole of my life from a different plane of perspective, like a bird’s-eye-view. I’ve always kind of understood that problems are opportunities, but it’s been so close to a cliche to me that I never applied it to my situation. This video just saved my life as I know it so far. I’m getting my ass off the couch, saying goodbye to the siren song of physical comfort and sleep, hitting the weights and out in the world to fail my way to success. I’ve wasted more than enough time, so I need to work extra hard every effing day I am above ground. Of course taking breaks/rest and getting a healthy amount of sleep are necessary for growth, muscle building, making new neural connections (learning new things) are all part of the plan. But I am now starting a MUCH more disciplined, hard working life. It’s on! Now I work! Thanks to everyone in the video and Motiversity!!!!

It does start from You. First you. Then your close ones. Then the rest of the community. Then the world.

But it starts with you.

I learned this from Paul Chek, or well, at least he told us that, years ago.

But here's the thing: the process of learning is not just hearing or reading something and then boom, you're ready. No.
The process of learning is digesting the thing. Understanding the thing. Working with the thing. It's way more than just the word "learn" and "go to school". Ha, as if those two were proper. They're way weaker than Real Learning.

I'm a student of Life, and learning is a cornerstone of life. Because when you learn basic things like your soul existing, connecting with the soul, and learning about your soul's path, your soul's calling in this life, you become... so powerful and real that people just... they become anxious, then realize something, and they smile at you. Because they have it in them too.

But yeah. Learning, you better work on how you learn, not just say "oh well I was born this way, I never change". NO. You may have been born with some serious learning impediment, but: everyone, and I mean everyone, can improve. Even nerves regenerate, and that's automatic and the regeneration rate can be boosted. So, why wouldn't the learning ability be able to be boosted? For everyone.

And how to learn better. As I said:

Read, listen, watch.
Think, feel. Understand. Process through it.
Practice it, do it in practice. Make a habit of that and stick to that practice for at least a month, preferrably more.

But wait, why learn? Why not just stick to what you do? It works, so why?
Because I say we all have a spark in us, spirit, fervor, drive, soul calling. Learning about that at least, WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE.
And, a japanese hero named Miyamoto Musashi, had a profound philosophical way too, in addition to him being a master swordman.
One core tenet of his philosophy and way of life was: Find out and learn and practice many different things, especially those that you're interested in, but still many different things.

Does that work? Yes. The guy named Paul Chek has done this, and he has gained the ability to talk to people about advanced things in the person's basic understanding level, so that the person gets what things like parasympathetic reactions and hromonal imbalance and clairvoyance are and how they really work and how everyone can use them. He can do this, because he did what Miyamoto Musashi did.

I too have learned good stuff from many different fields. Food gardening, mushrooms, buddhism, psychology, spirituality, chakras, qigong, tai chi, astrology, survival in the wild forests and jungles, weightlifting with proper ways, diet, philosophies.

And I've too become someone who can at least understand things better, and often explain the things to people better, not just a bookworm but a guy with both practical experience and theory on the same thing.

Everyone can learn. So, learn how to learn. It's very individual, some are more visual, some digest talking stuff or reading stuff better, some like to do stuff to learn. Some more than one of these, some all of these.

You do have it in you. Everyone does. We just haven't been taught a lot of important things like these in school. Learn. Learn to believe, because that's powerful too.

I gave that “lion mentality” speech to my youth soccer team that I coached this Spring before our first playoff game… we won our first game 11 - 0, and came back being down 1 - 0 after halftime in the second game/finals to win the championship 7 - 1! 🏆 Proud of my lion mentality driven kiddos! 👏🏼👏🏼
