I can't help but be confused about this. If I place my soul in 100% trust of Jesus, am I not being presumptuous that I'm going to heaven, despite the fact that I'm a sinner?

Whenever I have brought this up in confession, I have gotten nothing but crickets or the "just do the best you can" line.

So, I'm stuck between placing my trust 100% and being presumptuous and I still haven't ever received an answer that puts my soul at ease about when I breathe my last breath.
