Fight of the Year, 2011 : Marcos Maidana MD12 Erik Morales

In what most predicted would be a swift win for Marcos Maidana, the naturally bigger fighter, the harder puncher, Erik Morales being 34 and just the fourth time he's gone past 135 lbs, quickly became the opposite. Despite an uppercut landing for Maidana that immediately made Morales eye almost shut in the 1st round, Maidana was given the toughest fight of his career, some thinking Morales even edged it.
