The Hemi wasn't just iconic in name. It was a very durable engine. I've had two Ram 1500s with the 5.7 Hemi, going 100K miles on each. Zero problems, perfectly reliable. I very much doubt that a half-as-big twin turbo engine will do that good over the long haul.
ОтветитьName changed. Trip to local Ram/Jeep Dealer in Kentucky today was a sad sight. Very high number of overpriced vehicles, both '24s and '25s.
ОтветитьSo when you go to dealership for oil change you will never know if they actually changed your oil 😂😂😂
ОтветитьNest time use a truck filled with stuff at the max weight capacity. otherwise its not so informational
ОтветитьIt is not better than HEMI. It was a cost cutting move by that Eurotrash loser CEO who pocketed big $ and destroyed lives and a company and should be put on trial and in jail.
ОтветитьAll them holes they put in the k member on the front end is just there to hold salt and rust your truck out lol
ОтветитьGreat video TK! Give'em hell on the price! That thing isn't really a truck, it's a body-positive sports car, with sports car pricing. It's got all the electronic trickery going, but do you really want to bet long-term on Stellantis electronics? I wonder how many high-end half-ton trucks are "under water" a few years on? Who is gonna buy one, new or used, with an extra $30k of debt attached to a truck that doesn't hold its value particularly well? Cheers gents!
ОтветитьNot saying one is any better than the other... but i work in the back country of the Canadian rockies... own a 2022 loaded ram classic warlock (bought new)... hemi, 392 rear end, BFG tires..all stock other than tires.... take this thing places most people wouldn't dream of (because of work)... not one problem with this truck... considering i paid less than 50 grand Canadian with tax and fees in... no way im going to replace with whats going to be a 90 thousand + dollar truck (Canadian) with taxes and fees... and GIVE THAT AIR SUSPENSION A TRY IN MINUS 30-40 CANADIAN WINTERS AND SEE HOW MUCH YOU LIKE IT...
Nice truck to look at... but way to much $.
When will someone make an off-road truck with a full bed? Some of us want a pickup truck and the off-road goodies and looks.
ОтветитьLet some air out of tires!! 4x4ing 101. Thought you were the “truck king”
Ответитьstill have no idea why people buy Duratracs
ОтветитьAfter 4 year of the Biggest Clown Show of all times running the US and our economy right into the ground I surprised anything is selling!
ОтветитьAny truck that doesn’t come with a dipstick is a pass for me
ОтветитьI can only imagine the astronomical cost of fixing all this tech after warranty. 😊
ОтветитьI like the intro music.
Ответить@TK how do you think the other big twos trucks would have done in the conditions of the video?
ОтветитьI’m not going to bitch about price anymore. People get what they vote for and over the last 4 years, we voted for this.
I’m not even going to bitch about the lack of a manual transmission. That ship has sailed. The mega corporations have decided that North Americans don’t need them anymore.
But how how about offering a version of this truck (and ALL trucks) that delete the electronic nannies, over complicated suspensions, TV screens and power ashtrays, and just give me lockers and a drive train & suspension that follows MY inputs and does what I want?
Don’t lower my suspension when I’m heavy on the gas off road. That’s when I need clearance the most.
Don’t cut power when I contact an obstacle, that’s when I need it the most. When my vehicle responds to what MY brain is telling it, I don’t have to worry about how different manufacturers ‘program’ them.
And maybe if they deleted all that crap I just mentioned, these trucks could be about 20k cheaper.
But where’s the profit in that, right?
Pricing aside, I think Ram makes some of the nicest trucks, but I would not want to own one outside of the warranty period.
Ответить275/70r18 is a 33 but with the weight of the truck it could use more tire. 285/75r18 or i would move to 295/65r20
ОтветитьI don't know how much I would blame the duratracs here.. Im not a super fan of goodyear either but I've ran them before and they handle mud, sand, loose rock just fine. They need a tiny bit of momentum but I lean more into thinking this is a truck issue. Weight distribution, wheelbase, and articulation. Edmunds did a decent comparison of the trail boss, tremor, and rebel and the rebel just cant keep up with the others. I think they are due for a redesign as the new power trains are okay but the overall form factor seems to be holding this truck back. Also not a RAM/stellanits hater, I own a gladiator.
ОтветитьThese overpriced behemoths will always sell. ALWAYS. There will always be dips in sales numbers across the board, but they WILL sell. I ain't gonna buy a new one ever at these prices, even if I can afford it. I'll wait for a sucker to trade a nice one in, and swoop in for a great deal. Well known tip: if you can, buy these in a mall crawler district, because you'll know they weren't beat up or ever used for their intended purposes. Me, being in the low country of NC (SE inner banks), I just need something that is good in mud, gravel, and high water. I need to be able to travel the low country thru water after a hurricane or big thunderstorm hits to check on family and help neighbors out, dragging downed trees out the way of paths and roads. Basically, actually use the truck as intended. Us down here rarely buy a truck and not actually use it for truck stuff, we're too poor. The used car dealerships around here are BIGGER than the actual new car dealerships, but they're usually owned by the new car dealerships. Kinda makes me think there's a racket going on. New car dealerships sell em, take em back in trade and sell em lightly used with 10k miles (basically a demo model) and then charge what they should have charged in the first place. They literally have lots called "Bob's Used Cars," etc., up the street that they own. Double dipping. Why the heck am I rambling? I'll see myself out now. 😅😂
Ответить100k for a dodge is wild
ОтветитьI am looking for a truck, but these prices are insane! I dont care how many "insentives" they throw out. Ill wait for the upcoming car market crash and stick to used due to recent year poor quality control.
ОтветитьRam had one of the nicest LED tail lights on the market and now back to cheap incandescents!
Ответить77k for a half ton with 1300 lb of payload 😂😂😂😂😂what a joke
ОтветитьRam owners will still drive everywhere with their tow mirrors out.
ОтветитьTake big green back up upper cut now
ОтветитьI’m a big ram fan boy! I have a hemi truck and I love it. Ram to me makes the best looking truck, so they need to get that hemi back to help sales and drop the prices. They can’t keep dropping in sales if they wanna survive
ОтветитьI had those tires on my old Ram. They look like a good offroad tire but they really are not. They plug up very quickly.
ОтветитьYa I just pick them up as lease backs, low milage, full warranty, and mega savings. Let someone else take the new truck hit.
ОтветитьThat truck is too pretty to be driving in the mud. You should have know better.
ОтветитьUser error
ОтветитьYea those tires just suck. Period.
ОтветитьConditions remind me of the frontier review with all that deep wet mud the duratracs really did better than I thought I knew they're good but I see they're better than I realized as is the new rebel I still like the 24 rebel gt but this new rebel is impressive
ОтветитьYikes
ОтветитьAre you kidding? Give it some gas! Are we all being punked?
ОтветитьDie KI Übersetzung ins Deutsche ist schlecht!
Wenn man Vergleiche machen will, dann muss man die selben Dinge vergleichen, d.h. die Reifen und damit die Traktion muss die selbe sein um zu wissen was der Truck kann.
Can you compare this to this to 2019? Differences?
ОтветитьPower don’t mean much, I’d go thru there with just a natural V6, 2 wheel drive. That’s pretty much all crap they talk
ОтветитьI don't want no stupid computer driving for me or anything else. One air burst nuclear device and, we're all sunk. Give me the old days. Simpler and don't break all the time.
ОтветитьThem mirror look so dorky 😂
ОтветитьI have never adjusted a spot mirror once it is set.
ОтветитьHave to laugh at these huge 1/2 ton tow numbers on these off road rams with putrid payload numbers. Rebel and power wagon less payload than a ridgeline. How could you ever tow the max number without overloading it unless there’s one skinny person driving with no passengers or cargo.
ОтветитьSo a luxury truck that can go off road.
ОтветитьNo hemi? no thanks..
ОтветитьPerfect example why you don’t buy used vehicles
ОтветитьGreat test, please don’t cut the trail wider. This is a perfect example of real situations. It’s nice to see tests done in a way that’s not overly controlled, Nice work!
Food for thought. A segment using the recovery points showing off real world clearance and side loading ability would be cool
Damn, i think with the right tires my 69 bug could do that.
ОтветитьMy 99 Jeep Cherokee Xj has almost 500,000 miles and it's just like new.Alot of these new vehicles probably won't last 200k.Sad
ОтветитьThose tires got caked badly by all that mud.
Ответить
