I remember, when my MBP 2017 13“ fell out of support with „Sonoma“ and I tried it right ootb w/o knowing about OCLP. My only Mac went unusable, since no keyboard/trackpad nor wifi/BT was working at all. External keyboard/mouse saved the day, to revert to „Ventura“. Then I learned about OCLP and that was love at first sight. „Sequoia“ runs smoothly on my 8yo MacBook and OC keeps it at the race.
When time comes, I‘ll be testing „Tahoe“ on my Mac. Wonder, if my old pal will be supported at all, for eventually the last time.
What I want to know is when Apple Silicon Macs eventually reached their end of lifespan. Will there be an equivalent of this software to install unsupported software on Apple silicon?
Ответить🙋🏻♂️lol threw me off guard when you said my name 🤣
Ответитьit teached me a lot about the terminal using OPCL back in the day to terminal use days
ОтветитьGee, installing a beta open core on a beta Mac OS on an unsupported Mac. That’s just nuts.
Ответитьcommenting from macos tahoe
ОтветитьThank you for all your work and support.
ОтветитьCool Tahoe with Liquid Glass.
ОтветитьThank you. You've saved me from having several bricks!
ОтветитьI played around with beta installs of macOS once. Wasn’t worth the headaches. It’s fun hearing about other people’s journeys, but I wait for the final release and the comparable OCLP. This has worked great for me. Looking forward to macOS 26, but I can wait!
ОтветитьI have an M2 air yet I find this OCLP stuff fascinating. Will upgrade my mum's 2015 Pro to probably Sonoma/Sequoia or if it gets ironed out nicely Tahoe in a year or so when Monterey's no good anymore
ОтветитьI'm excited to see what the OCLP team can do.. I am sad that Mac will end support for intel after this version. Really makes it a difficult decision to buy a second hand intel Mac from here moving forward. Currently my newest machines are a 2015 iMac i5, 5K and a 2015 13" Macbook Pro.
ОтветитьCan’t wait for OCLP is ready for deployment.
On behalf of my iMac Pro and myself, I thank everyone for their hard work.
Every major release, I wait for your vids, Mr. Mac. Incremental updates I just do, but never for the big ones. I've been on this train for nearly all the four years and have had my share of disasters through impatience. Never again.
ОтветитьGREAT job Mr Macintosh
ОтветитьEven on supported macs it's pretty buggy, we need to wait at least for first public beta I guess ;)
ОтветитьI installed the Icon Composer Tool on my 2014 Retina MacBook Pro 13inch. I can say than the preview pane on this beta app is terribly slow. I don't actually understand what is so expensive to calculate some highlighted edges, even in realtime, but if the metal4-hardware-made light-effect falls back onto such unoptimized code in software, then we wont have much fun with Tahoe on unsupported Macs.
ОтветитьApple 😂😂😂😂
ОтветитьWhy would anyone be that crazy be wanting to go on unsupported beta even especially if the older mac not even gonna get it in the first placeeee????? Dont make no sense to me
Ответитьthank you for the info Mr. Macintosh!
ОтветитьPls help me i am stuck in olcp installers for sequoi error occured
