I still remember when she came out she was the first hp scaler i think, i was very stoked since i love hp scaling/ tanky units, me and my in game frnd were having a blast having photoshoots where she would throw the spear and that ganyu idle animation where she would wake up from sleep, it would look like candace is throwing it at ganyu😭 this vid brought a lot of nostalgia and all that desert farming for that red flower......... And yeah i saw someone else comment too shes great on mualanis team where she could hold the petra set where i farmed it with hp for zhongli and it works great on candace, xiangling has the instructor and xilonen with the conder city, with candace its easier to make xilonen react with hydro too

It's even sadder when you think there are so few 4* hydro characters but them not wanting to make another broken Xingqiu and mid/non-synergetic kits makes it really hard for new accounts nowadays to have a hydro applicator. Candace could've been a good alternative.
I'm a bit bummed you say she's not great with Arlecchino because I had seen other CCs saying she's amazing at C6 with her in AoE/mob situations, vs XQ/Yelan who are ST. I was looking forward to get my last copy on this banner. I'll still ascend her anyway and try her to see how she feels to me personally, but I'm not as hyped anymore.
Personally, I think the biggest insult to injury is how she's just... there, in the middle of a charismatic cast (Sumeru) where almost everyone's gotten events or quests dedicated to them or where they're heavily featured. Poor girl hasn't even gotten a hangout!! I want to get to know her better and see her do something beyond being in the background with Dehya! I desperately want to like her more, to feel her less 2D and static. Crossing fingers so in the upcoming event she does get something cool to do and her free copy isn't just for random reasons!

This is the most optimistic video about Candace I've ever seen and it's still brutal on her...at least I can verify your reliability.

I really like her, so I am using her in arlecchino team where she feels great in this team if you have her C6 which I get in Xilonen banner ^ ^

before that she was always in Nilou team which feels good with yaoyao and recently on Mulani team which I really like her there

For me she works great with arle in aoe since xq and yelan are single target. And she works even better in mual teams with high pyro app

She is actually alright at C6, atC5 she is dogshit tho.

she's dark-skinned so there is that... hoyo have to prioritize the chinese beauty standard that the chinese playberbase wants first and foremost.

Id suggest pairing her with xilonen now, her res shred and with the natlan set would really make her feel stronger i feel like, and since xilo is also a healer we have enough survivability :)

Hoyoverse just do not like people with darker skin, which is sad

I built her as a charged attack DPS like a hydro HuTao since she has one of the highest polearm normal/charged attack multipliers but then Xianyun was released and now I use her as a plunge DPS and never looked back.

This beautiful desert lady have Meta team rn : Mualani vape. I even argue this duo synergy are on par with all the best duo synergy in Genshin like Furi + Neuvi or Bennet + Oppa.

This excellent synergy are possible with Candace second passive. Candace burst give flat 20% NAdmg bonus but we often forget her 2nd passive give extra NAdmg bonus scaled from how high her HP. This buff actually UNCAP. So Hydro resonance give both Candace and Mualani extra HP. Mualani can battery Candace and making her build can focus on HP which in turn give more buff to Mualani. Plus candace skill/burst can make Xilo/Kacina proc Cinder City more easily. Add Xiangling to the mix and this team will bite enemies to oblivion.

Sorry im essaying. Let's just say i have been waiting for ages for the rise of most Beautiful lady (In my humble onion) in Genshin. Now she and shark girl are the strongest team in my account and I'm happy 😂😂😂😂

I use her as driver burgeon, burgeon blast counted as attack. When you hold her skill and burgeom happen, u can follow up with her counter skill. This will count as forward vaporize. I nail 78k per skill. Plus she can parry if enemy doing oneshot attack.

Im still mad about what they did with Candace and Dehya.

What sucks the most for me is that they just made her a sort of Sub-Dps/support, even though that field is already oversaturated in the hydro roster. We already have hydro sub-dps's and hydro healers. What we're missing is a hydro tank. Candace could easily fill this role due to her character design alone, with her both being the protector of Aaru village and being the only character in the game to actually hold a physical shield. That second part surprises me most, as since she can't provide defensive utility to her teammates while off-field, she's arguably worse as a tank than Xinqiu. Hoyo had the perfect opportunity to make a Hydro tank, but they didn't, and that really disappoints me because I love Candace's visual design and story.

Her counter doesn't feel nearly as satisfying as Beidou or Yunjin, is it a smaller hotbox or does that little hop before she slams down her shield ruin the timing & spacing. Her bursts hydro infusion is too short, even with the constellation that extends the duration.

At the very least she needs her cooldown on the skill, increase the burst's duration and be able to trigger the hydro damage when switching 6 times.

I came to this video looking for some hope! But sadly with my head down I walk away feeling like it is not to be. "Oh Candace, if only you were.. yeah."

IMO Candace's kit is fine, the problem is that most Abyss teams are all centered around stacking a bunch of off field effects on the battlefield first then bring a DPS that constantly makes numbers using elemental reactions. Candace was not designed for that playstyle, she needs to stay on field until her ult is up and then baton pass to the next DPS and the rest of the team until she gets back to the field for the next round of beatings.

I finally got one (1) candace when wishing for xilonen. while i'm happy to have her, i don't see myself building her any time soon for all the reasons you mentioned, i've just got better options and my resources needs spending elsewhere for now. i'd like to build her one day, if only to have more variety in my overworld teams.

Her buff is really underrated. DMG% is the hardest stat to come by and is usually the biggest determiner of how good a DPS is because of it. 35-40% is huge. Yes, we have alternatives. But they are ALL 5-stars. Furina, Kazuha. She's an amazing unit if you don't have 5 star supports, honestly. I never thought bad of her from the start because to me she was clearly for new players. The fact that you don't have to build talents to get her buff is massive for new players, DMG bonus is massive, she has flexible playstyles.

A certain new character will likely work extremely well with Candace, actually, and might make her much better. Electro resonance is really good and helps a lot with energy, and they also give more energy on top. That allows you to build more HP on Candace which buffs her buff and her damage.

Something similar happened with Baizhu where he was bad for Aggravate until Sacrificial Jade came out, which allowed you to build damage without compromising his buff/healing. This ONLY worked because of electro resonance and electro's good particle generation allowing you to forgo his massive ER requirements.

Electro resonance has long been considered the worst but it's really not; being able to build less ER for characters like Candace, Baizhu, buff them massively. Electrocharged just never has been good before.

They could have made her just 4 star melee Yelan, but they just wanted to screwed us :(

Sometimes i can't help but feel like there were underlying reasons for her and dehya being so bad, like their kits feel DESIGNED to fail, like they went out of their way to cripple the kit. At first i figured it was because they were afraid of making subdps/support pyro and hydro characters after the balancing disasters of xingqiu and xiangling but then they go on to make Neuvilette, Furina, and Arlechinno. Those characters are powercreep incarnate for their respective roles ( hydro dupsdps/support, main dps and pyro main dps), so why do they get to be like that while these characters were gimped :/

Once I tried putting her into a team with Dehya and the closest I got to a fun and high damage team was Candace E vape teams, something like Candace, Dehya, Nahida to keep up burning and EM share and Kazuha for grouping enemies together and damage boost, she can hit quite hard with her E when vaporizing it and building her with crit damage and high EM.

A bit of an odd team that I recently saw a lot of success with was in an Itto/Chiori/Gorou/Candace team. There's probably better ways to do this, but the normal attack elemental buff combined with hydro for crystalize is a lot stronger than I expected. Great timing too, for anyone looking to pull on the current banner.

she works great for xingqiu hypercarry too. XQ is better than a lot of 5*, and his team is great even if off meta

If Mavuika ends up being an off field pyro applicator that can keep up to allow Mualani to reliably vape I can see Candace being a really good support for her. Last slot can be Xilonen and you got a powerhouse team. Easily get 40% normal attack damage on Mualani from Candace, hydro resonance, and all the good stuff Xilonen does. I got my hopes up enough I already built my Candace for this role.

I would have probably used her if she was c6 and furina was not existing

I havent played in years so i decided to start a fresh account a few days ago and pulled Candace. Visually she is my 3rd favorite character in the game, only behind Ninnguang and Kokomi. Ive been using her to buff Rosaria so she can constantly proc frozen and Anemo Traveler for hydro swirls.

She a tally has very high ratios on her normal attacks, it’s her base damage that’s low - if she had enough HP stacking, her auto attacks and E can dish some reasonable damage; but like you said, by the time you can accomplish this, the opportunity cost is like 3 or 4 meta teams

She does well in Mualani/Xilonen/Xiangling/Candace
Mualani is such a hypercarry that simply providing her with hydro resonance, 40% Normal attack damage increase and not stealing Mualani's vapes makes her a good choice on one of the highest damage teams in the game atm

I would also like to add that Candace's burst does nothing for coop, except infuse her own weapon. I don't know what hoyo was thinking, it's like if Bennett burst only increased his own ATK in coop.

C6 candace is the best thing to pair with Arlecchino

I turned my Candace into a Main Dps & I've never regretted it.

Wish she was a 4 star dps like Yanfei cuz I honestly love playing her 💙

I got her Homa, Yelan , Kazuha, & Xilonen to make her even stronger!

Candace has been in my Nilou Team pretty much since I got her (w. Yaoyao and Nahida), I believe it's one of the better Nilou teams if you don't have Kokomi, esp. at C6. Xq and Yelan don't have as much AOE as her, and since Bloom is an AOE team they don't work as well, so they are better used on the other side in abyss imo.

I got her just recently and was very excited since I could not get a second hydro character after Barbara no matter what I did.
When I started to study her, I was put down cause I thought she would be good.
Still, I was left with a good impression of her from the Sumeru Archon quest, so I will still build her and give her a chance.
Even if she feels underwhelming, I like her design and character.
