I'm in the pipeline to purchase a Compound Mitre Saw to update and carry out work in my home, as it will make timber work easier for me. What is the best model / makeyou would recommend? without going over the top price wise, Thanks.

Hi, I have 2 of this DWS780 one in my shop and one the I use in the field.  I love the saw but one thing I am fighting with is the dust extraction. It collects about 50%. I spend to much time cleaning up.

Hi I've got a DW 770 lovely saw very accurate and easy to use but it does to make a mess, even with my Festool dust extractor it spews dust all over the place

I cannot bevel the saw to 45deg with the clamp on the side. How do people get around it ?

I bought this saw today and is still in the box. I am more than a little concerned by some reviewers who made it very clear that the slider is not smooth. In fact it looks like it is binding. My feeling is that for $600.00, that blade should move back and forth very smoothly. Did Dewalt fix this problem over the last few years or is this still a problem? Thanks..

Looks like a nice saw but why only 1 year warranty in the UK?
Other countries have a 3 year warranty and most competitors in the UK e.g Bosch, Makita have 3 years.
For that reason I am going for either Bosch or Makita.
