ОтветитьJust stumbled upon this channel. I'm considering a career pivot from UX Research to L&D. This video made me feel positive about the potential of this shift since it seems a lot of the day-to-day activities overlap quite a lot with what I do as a UX Researcher
ОтветитьThank you so much for this great overview on what is day in the life of L&D. I will have an interview this Wednesday for this position and looks like your video could help me to get this position :)
ОтветитьI appreciate the amount of effort you put into creating such a creative, easy-to-follow and fun elaboration of what a day of an L&D rookie?
Thanks in advance ✨.
I'm considering a career shit from lecturing to L&D. What knowledge, certificates (if necessary), skills need I acquire in order take the first step into becoming an L&D
Thank you.
ОтветитьThank you for this video, it was fun and uplifting and I learned so much!
I've done some L&D work informally at past nonprofits I worked at and I have a background in education but never considered myself going into it professionally. This video not only educated me but also validated some of the instinctual skills I used to help with training in my past companies.
I relatively recently made a pivot into copywriting, but have been re-inspired to look into organizational culture and L&D work. Thanks again -- I'm also going to look into the free guide your team offers. :)
Hey, please check at 5.45, you say "for me it's a cup of tea" and in the audio script it displays "for me it's wine!". ha ha ha ha ! Anyway, it was a nice video!
ОтветитьI also just came across this video and am looking to pivot into L&D from education. I'm currently doing my MBA in Management (with a minor in Luxury Marketing) and have been looking into L&D. Thank you for posting this video, Irina - it's very insightful :)
ОтветитьWow really useful! 🙌🙂✨
ОтветитьThis was so great! I'm considering a pivot to L&D from fund development/grant writing.
ОтветитьThis was really helpful, thank you! I've been exploring different career paths.
ОтветитьI'm an educator who's looking to pivot into a new career. Ran upon this during my research. I'm interested in L&D. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge!
ОтветитьHi thanks for this amazing presentation. I have recently applied for an L&D specialist position. Im currently working as a trainer and assessor and a lot of experience creating courses and designs. However, the requires me to troubleshoot moodle LMS. How much is that part of your job? Is that a normal expectation from an L&D specialist?
Thank you in advance :)
Does an L&D manager typically deliver the presentations/ trainings as well or do they oversee the specialists?
Ответитьi am looking to pivot and heading L&D Department in a big Corporate but have no idea about income potential, qualifications, steps. looking forward to learn from your channel in getting into L&D Department. I have authored 5 books in areas of productivity, inter personal communication, etc..
ОтветитьWorking through all the L&D videos this week and really finding them helpful. Thank you. Question - Is it better to have people fill out an intake form first then meet? I hate meeting cold and find it helpful in my educational setting to always have as much info as I can going into a consult. Or is that too cumbersome in a corporate L&D world so you just basically do that step in session?
ОтветитьMPS stands for Meaningful Performance Score
ОтветитьThanks so much for sharing this. I’m an educator looking to transition into this field. Loved this video!
ОтветитьHello I am currently looking to make a shift into this Carrer path. I have a Engineering degree and background in sales and construction. I am currently unemployed what can I do to help me land a job. Is their a course I should take or get certified in?
ОтветитьHi I am from India,Just stumbled upon this channel. I am L&D professional from past 3 years before that I was a educator.
ОтветитьI'm interested in L&D. I have a little experience as a teacher and I also have some experience as a trainer. Between the two, that's almost 6 years of superficial experience but it is not enough to enter the world of L&D.
What would it be the best way to "hit the ground running" to gain the relevant and experience to enter L&D?
Thank you. Great video!
😊 👍
ОтветитьSomeone told me my L&D job is look is event management 🙄
Ответитьthank you for sharing this content. I'd like to ask to you a question about hard skills for this very intresting job. In your opinion, what are the main hard skills that a L&d have to possess? I'am a psychologyst student, and i'd like to start new courses to improving my hard skills (sorry for the english, i am italian and i'm traing to improve ;)
ОтветитьYou mentioned "Change management" in the Interpersonal skills, may I know what exactly you mean from that ? as it differs industry to industry, is it managing the change requests you get while developing a training from Stakeholders ?
ОтветитьThank you Madame for this beautiful content :)
ОтветитьWonderful content! Simple and to the point. Thank you! The Learning Needs Analysis Free Workbook is so well organized and simple. It is also correct!!! The best refresher I have ever had. I am now a Follower!!! I look forward to seeing and participating in everything.
ОтветитьOMG..this is so helpful! it brought me back the the times when I was a trainer for L&D...we did almost all of the things you mentioned! Esp when our manager would gather us all and we talk about creative problem solving and we collaborate on how to better the current modules we have.
L&D is so important that there is no value one can place on the services this department brings to the organization!
Good one
