I would never be able to put that back together.
ОтветитьAstonishing!
ОтветитьI was wondering if you cant assemble it without the right sticker colour, as long as the corners are in the right spot like an even layered cube. But then i realized it would probably take more time to solve it after assembly than searching the correct coloured sticker.
ОтветитьSo it's the oldest surviving video of 13x13x13 assembly. I also consider them like 3-dimensional jigsaw puzzles.
I think I now understand the mechanism. The first mass-produced higher order cubes (9×9×9 and 11×11×11) used straight V-mech with slightly modified pieces. However, 6×6×6 to 10×10×10 (at the time I'm writing this) puzzles produced after that actually incorporated the 3×3×3 self-supported frame in addition to central rows of V-mech which added a lot of stability. This 3×3×3 is present in this 13×13×13 as well. For everyone who don't yet know, 3×3×3 frame idea itself is not new. In fact, Rubik's and Meffert's (latter with greater success) brand 5×5×5 used this mechanism years before.
However, in Moyu 13×13×13, an additional 7×7×7 frame seems to exist. If that's true then the puzzle would still function perfectly if the pieces of 2nd, 3rd and 4th innermost rows of this puzzle were removed.
I know this is completely unrelated to the video but, is it possible to make a square based pyraminx?
ОтветитьHow long did it take for you to fully assemble it?
ОтветитьAnybody else thought in their heads, "this piece goes here... this piece goes here... this piece goes here...", only because Tony said it?
ОтветитьWow ! pieces seem really interlinked, no mystery this huge twisting puzzle is so stable.
Ответитьwill we being seeing a 13x13x13 ball any time soon?
ОтветитьI don't know if you'll see this but cool video and very gutsy especially if you lose one piece you're done for.
ОтветитьThat's no moon
ОтветитьVery interesting. Thank you for showing this.
It would be very nice to know how they are assebled at the MoYu factory and how long it takes there.
THIS PUZZLE COSTS 340.00$ HOLY FUCK!!!!(from amazon)
ОтветитьI just disassembled and assembled my 5x5, and I thought that was a big pain in the ass...
Ответить4 people wanted to see the full normal speed video.
ОтветитьYou forgot to lube and tension it. Gotta take it back apart!
ОтветитьDid you disassemble that cube only for two videos?? (No offense, I enjoyed the video and watched the whole thing!)
ОтветитьThis video is so... Satisfying.
just the ambient noise that sounds like rain outside in the background, the delightful click of each piece, and watching the complexity of it just come together in a beautiful way. You didn't need to speed it up, I would watch the entire assembly footage.
Some people choose painful hobbies...
ОтветитьAt 28.00 if that was me I'd be like "S.O.B. what the hell happened to that blue center!" Lol
ОтветитьI like how almost every moyu puzzle has a blue core :P
Ответитьi don't know how you think of this Tony...this blows my mind...
ОтветитьI wonder who actually designs those cubes?,
and how?
what kind of software do they use?..Autocad?, Inventor?, paint?
How hard is it to find every single piece?
ОтветитьI take it you have no issue with the Moyu 13x13 because V-Cubes' patents extend only to 11x11 puzzles?
Ответить"Mankind sometimes creates monsters"..... THIS is one of them....Now, if I buy a 13x13 MoYu, I swear not to disassemble it. Nor let anyone do. If you have time, earn some money...don't break this up.
Ответитьes el puto amo
ОтветитьFake. You obviously took a video of yourself disassembling the cube and reversed it.
ОтветитьHow do you know where the pieces go?
ОтветитьDid you lubricate the core while it was apart?
Ответитьit's raining out there?
Ответитьhey Malmrose doesn't have lubix
ОтветитьThe centers remind me of the ones in the original Professor's Cube.
Ответить"Just as my SD card ran out!"
That'd be sad
Dear Moyu gods, please provide strength and control as I attempt this ridiculous and arduous task...
ОтветитьAssembling half a 4x4 took me and my friend 2 days lmao
Ответитьwill you buy yuxin 17x17 ? it is expensive
Ответитьwhich one takes more time ? Solving it or Breaking and Reasembling it ???
ОтветитьComo cuando no puedes resolver el cubo de 13 x 13 x13 y lo desarmas. :V
ОтветитьAnd here I'm struggling to put my 2x2 back together.
Ответитьthis is painful to watch

ОтветитьOnly ogs remember when the cube 8 was the biggest
ОтветитьAn amazing piece of engineering.
Ответитьseems like assembling it is harder than solving it
ОтветитьWe used your 2014 video in 2022 when reconstructing our 13x13x13 which exploded into 800+ pieces after a fall, and we rebuilt it in about two weeks, c. 20 minutes a day. Thank you!
