So happy to have finally finished this video! It took awhile because I didn't want to watch any of it passively, but I'm glad I took my time, it was worth every minute. The joy you get from this game and its predecessor is some of the best entertainment and I've had a blast watching all the videos and livestreams.

It's the opposite. Re4 og had more grounded chaarcters. The characters were cartoons in the remake especially saddler.

LTTP with this game but I'm in the middle of playing it for the first time (Chapter 13 on Standard) and it blows my mind seeing someone get through it this quickly, and on the hardest difficult too! Well done John.
I also enjoyed seeing Mad John come out in the chainsaw sisters section. Reminded me of your Martyr Logarius boss fight from Bloodborne :D

Congratulations on the Professional S+!

I disagree with you about having exaggerated characters in videogames, generally I prefer them as main characters in these stories. But despite having disagreements, I still enjoy your content and been enjoying it for years. Speaking of which, you might be dissatisfied with your content creator abilities during hyper focused times, but in my opinion you achieved SS+ in this run as you kept being your usual entertaining self throughout the whole video.

I only dislike calling these exaggerated characters "cartoon characters". I'd prefer calling them fantasy characters, as they are born as part of people's fantasies. A fantasy where you are a hero who saves the world, being / facing a great cliché villain who threatens to destroy the world, etc. Same goes to the other character tropes as well. Calling them "cartoon" undermines how much fun people like myself can have with them. How wonderful these journeys can be. I do agree though that variety is important and games with more grounded characters can be refreshing. Variety is the best.

Now if you'll excuse me, I go watch the Resident Evil 4 Remake playlist. lol. My comment will be lost in the void with my hilarious (yet serious) note, but I submit it anyway.

I’m watching on halloween in 2024 (Thursday), but I’m doing well, thanks for the wishes John. I first watched your full playthrough of the game and then this run as soon as I got RE4 (2005) and started playing it for the first time. and was curious how the remake is even though I’m too poor to get it and don’t have a ps5, or anything. so this is the next best thing and I’ve been watching your videos for a while, so there’s nothing better than your playthrough of RE4 Remake.
