Bart's music has been one of my favourites ever since Hospodi. I'm so happy about the birth of this new chapter, Patriarkh gives me chills right from the start with Wierszalin III. I can't wait to listen to the album. Hail Patriarkh! 🤘🏼

Batushka was so orthodox that they had own schizma. That's good it finally ended. We'll see (listen) new release.

I just don't understand this band anymore. Bart is my favourite black metal vocalist ever, what he pulled out on Litourgiya is simply out of this world. But this so called "new" project channels the same forced and tired overall energy that was present on PISMO and IRMOS tracks. Still baffles me why did they abandon the Hospodi direction? It was not perfect but still had good tracks. Even their costumes were insanely good. So what can we expect from PATRIARKH? Will they have live bassist on stage? Will the choir guy still take out a smartphone to record the crowd? Will Bart still say "Slava Ukraini!!" at the end of performance? I am skeptical.

Judging this musically just because of the guys attitude towards the orevious project is unfair, i was very negative towards barts actions with batushka, but this is really interesting and good music.

In December 2018, both Христофор and Барфоломей claimed they kicked the other one out of Батюшка and would continue the band separately. In June 2024, Христофор shared a court document on social media announcing his victory in securing the legal rights and intellectual property of Батюшка.

Subsequently, in September 2024, Барфоломей announced his version of Батюшка would change its name to Патриархь (Patriarkh).

Again, I know ill get slayed for this, but barts batushka is better IMO. I feel like the founder fell off with his 2nd album. Thought it was boring and a missed opportunity to really show he was the founder.
