I have a clear view of the Hudson right outside my living room window, not in the city but upstate. For years people have talked about how disgusting the Hudson is however I see it in a whole new light after it saved all those people!

This is why skilled experienced workers are so much needed. These 2 men are a dying breed in our society. Many companies try forcing out their experienced employees to save a buck. Imagine what could have happened if a less experienced pilot were at the helm? I’d hate to think! Kudos a thousand times to Sully and Skiles!

I laugh when people say planes pretty much fly themselves these days. Not when all you have to power your aircraft is the APU on the tail, and that's only for radio and navigation.
