Looking for a great backpacking adventure in the Canadian Rockies? Consider a hike to Mount Assiniboine Provincial Park.
Mount Assiniboine Park is world-renowned for its lakes, glaciers, peaks, and alpine meadows. Mount Assiniboine itself sits on the continental divide near the southeast corner of the park, at an elevation of 3,618m (or 11870 ft).
There are no roads in this park, so you can access the park either by hiking or by helicopter. We chose to hike in from Sunshine Village.
