I was always so confused by the American opening because it was nothing to the Dutch one. Turns out we used UK opening instead while the US uses a more rocky-type version.

The English translation of the Dutch version:
Both of us want to fight for a better life - Oh, this is just the beginning.
We can do everything with the four elements - And we're all in. (Hey hey!)
Watch out for these five girls, they - are - together:
WITCH, it stands for 'strenght', the goal that brings us together.

US season 1 is the best one

I speak romanian and I never liked the romanian dubbing and the opening simply doesn't sound right, it's like the singers barely had any voices at all, sounds false, they didn't put any effort and passion in the song. Instead I like the original version in english plus the Italian and the Korean versions, so lively and a bit different.

Arabic is just 🤌🏻💋

If you translate the lyrics of the intro of the Russian version into English, you get something like this (not in rhyme of course):
We can control the flames, the earth, the air
and the waves a dashing surf

Overall I like the mention of the Veil in the song (they are Guardians of it after all), and the message that as long as they're on duty, no one can get through it, and also that it's never too late to discover unexpected talents in yourself, which is something you don't find in other versions. Also the cool over-the-top vocals.

Fun fact: russian translation of title "Чародейки"(Charodeiki) means sorceresses, while english Witch translates as "Ведьма"(Viedma) and in russian cultural lense main heroines did not seem as witches at all. You see, main witch character in russian culture - Baba Yaga, in her classic appearance is old and scary hag, so instead of literal translation heroines were called as something close to their visual visage - sorceresses.

Как же я дико кайфую с американского оп Чародеек, этот оп не такой как на всех остальных языковых версиях, но при этом он очень круто звучит, кайф просто. Также мне нравится французская версия, тоже очень круто звучит. И, на удивлении мне словацкая версия песни также прям зашла, и я дико кайфанул с исполнения. Ну, и естественно в самом сердечке у меня русская версия, и лично для меня явные топ-2: американская и русская

My favorite is the UK S2 even though I've watched the show in french. In the french version, the lyrics are longer before the bridge is sing.

I grew up with the Dutch opening and to this day it's still the best to me. I wish it got a season 2 because the addition of the electric guitar to the song is so satisfying. Season 2 UK version is my 2nd fav.
