I have a similar kangaroo leather hat though not that brand. It's tagged drizabone but i think it was made by a third party. It is easily the best hat I've owned. Extremely comfortable. Because it is so soft it packs down flat but probably what I like best is that I can wear it in my boat at speed and the brim will just flop up in the breeze rather than try and blow off of my head.

I wear the Barmah Sundowner (Kangaroo leather) and a Barmah Crocodile 5-tooth hat. Love them both. Worn them for over 5 years and both look brand new. The Kangaroo is more durable but the Croc has held its shape a bit better.

I'd add Borsalino foldable fedora to the list. Especially useful when on a business trip

i want to buy my first cowboy hat. i had before one, its leather hat and i wore it all year for many years. love that hat. and want something in leather again. so plz reccomend me something good. and plz also any suggestion for non leather cow boy hats. thank u so much.

Hats have always been staus symbols which opens them up to a lot of talk about glitz and glamor. But their enduring quality has to do with how they are used. Hats are also gear/equipment. They have a practical function. So, function and fit always trump fashion. No true hat aficionado or gentleman would respect a convo about beautiful hats without discussing how great they actually work. Thank you, sir.

The Russian fur hat is a "Ushanka" careful how you pronounce that.
I wear a UK tweed flat cap (two), a waxed cotton fedora and a Barma 1060 cow leather.

Barmah Squashy, I had for 20 years, weathered and worn. Looks better now than when I first got it. Gets a ton of compliments and attention from the opposite sex ;-). Make sure to throw some mink oil on it every now and then.

I wear a hat that is very similar to the first one you showed us although mine is not made from kangaroo but cheap ordinary leather - probably from a cow. It keeps the sun out of my eyes and keeps the rain off my spectacles. Mine also has a cord just as yours does so I won't lose it in high wind. I love my hat and so did my seven year old granddaughter. She kept putting it on so I bought her one for Christmas and she was delighted.
