Ye must be born again. Unfortunately, many confuse regeneration with self transformation, and they become satans ministers of righteousness and angels of light. Which is why we must first judge the confession of their mouth. Because an evil tree cannot bring forth good fruit; it cannot speak good things in regards to that which is true.

But the sad and tragic thing is that people ignore this method of testing. And fall victims to Satans angels of light. Beware!

We are saved with the mind and heart of Jesus.

If people ask me why I believe in Jesus Christ I would answer this way. 1) The precision in the first second of the creation of the universe. The 4 main forces of nature came into existence in an instant and they govern the structure of the universe. And they are all precisely correct to allow galaxy and star formation, pure coincidence, I don't think so. 2) No one has every disproved the New Testament. If they had Christianity wouldn't even exist. 3) I accept the "eye witness" testimony in the new testament as being historically accurate. I have no contrary evidence to assume otherwise 4) The Gospel refers to a real Roman Governor... Pontius Pilate. If the life of Christ was made up 80 years later, why refer to a real Governor 80 years earlier. How would the writers even know about this Governor. No library or Google back then. 5) The profoundness of Jesus's reported teaching impacts me deeply, I struggle to see how "humans could have made the gospel up". 6) Predestination vs Freewill. The bible time and time again refers to believers being "chosen by God" for salvation, as salvation is a gift. But the bible also teaches that "anyone can believe if they want to". Human beings wouldn't have made up such an apparent paradox. To God the Father this isn't a paradox. 6) The warnings about Hell and eternal punishment. What human being would make this up. 7) God is LOVE and there us "no darkness in him" he is "Holy Holy Holy" and rushes to forgive people who repent of their sins. God sending his own Son to pay the price for our sin. No other religion makes such an incredible claim. 8) Christianity is the only Religion which is not based on "human accomplishment". Other religions say "if you live a good life" you can earn salvation. Not so with Christianity. We are only saved through Christ's work on the cross. Any good works we do are like "filthy rags" before a perfect God. Salvation is by grace through faith, it is an incredibly wonderful act by God the Father who gives this grace. 9) The fact that the Apostles gave their lives for their faith in Christ. People do not give their lives for a lie. 10) My heart tells me it is absolutely true. When you weigh all the evidence it is IMPOSSIBLE for me to say Christianity is a lie. For me it is quite simply the truth. Jesus truly is the Way the Truth and the Life. I admit somethings in the Gospel are beyond our comprehension but in the final analysis I accept them with faith. I GENUINELY believe Jesus is God just like he said he was. 11) The trinity!! God is 3 persons in one God. What human being could have made this up!!!

I can say from experience that you can but I'd love to hear from you personally that that is true. I can't seem to find that video where Paul Washer states that about regeneration.

Wow! okay then so this battle with myself might be normal for Christian...It's been a really hard fight for me.

Please pray for me? All my life I've lived in sin, and I've heard the Gospel many times but still living in sin. I feel that my heart is heardend that even after being aware of my sins knowing and acknowledging the truth about God and the word, I can't develop a real Godly sorrow for my sins. And feel gratitude to motivate me to live for God that died for my sins. All those I wish to feel. I feel jealous of believers and others alike. Feel callous toward others. I want a heart of love and a God and devotion to God. I listen and hear podcast and videos on social media about God and believers sharing his word and preaching the Gospel, while i wish and want to follow Christ but I feel numb in motivation. I feel paralyzed to live it out. I guess I have felt afraid of change in my life and how my life will look different and how people will treat me because of following Christ. And have a hard time believing Gid woyld love someone like me. I wish to be among you believers and be loved my God. I wish to be walking this all out in courage and gratitude with trust and belief. I can't even gain an ounce or smaller of a mustard seed of faith to spark belief. They say only God can cause me and power me to faith and bear fruit of saving faith. And I guess their right. Because I feel spiritually paralyzed. I feel not chosen. Or loved. I feel I'm just here just to exist to go to destruction. Even if I tried to follow God it wouldn't be authentic. It would've be out of real love from my heart. It would just be legalism. I wish I could love God and he would love me. I feel it won't work if i pray for God to save me from my sins and living in sin. I prayed for him to save me but I haven't felt different. Or he had forgiven me even while being totally honest and raw with him. And I'm still living in sin and committing them. I'm afraid I'm being passed by. Or a reprobate mind. Your not saved until you reach the end because as it is actually written on the pages of the Bible for all to see, "those who persevere until the end will be saved".

How would this preacher explain the evidence for Jesus being divine? Is that possible? I'm sure the bible claims he was, but doesn't the bible also state that slayvery is acceptable? How can you differentiate what is true and what is fantasy when reading the bible? Thank you.

Ephesians 1:12 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.

We need regeneration, but it comes AFTER we believe. So the idea that we were dead in sin is true, but that we couldn't respond to the Holy Spirit and believe is a lie. It is the Holy Spirit we are responding to. If you want to say it is part of the quickening God gives us, that's fine, but it isn't completed until we believe, and we CAN believe under the conviction of the Holy Spirit. Instead of "glorifying" God by saying we can't respond to Him, you make Him too weak to get through to us, as if He was Joe Blow trying to talk to a dead man. He who will call all the dead out of our graves, one time or the other, is powerful enough to get through to us, and make us able to respond. The conviction of the Holy Spirit is grace being shown to us, and it is when we can believe. We hear, then believe, as Ephesian 13 says. Then believing, we have eternal life. We are born again. That's what Ephesians 13 and the rest of the Bible says. Don't listen to theologians when they take you away from the Bible. Washer condemns "decisional regeneration", but belief in Jesus to save us requires a decision. Peter even told Jerusalem to "save yourselves from this untoward generation", not because he was telling them they were their own Saviors, but because believing in Jesus has a beginning, and that requires a decision. To damn that decision, is tantamount to damning receiving Jesus by faith, because of the conviction of the Holy Spirit. And this is the same mindset that tells the world that the odds are that God doesn't want to save you, but only the smug few and the proud few, the ruthless 'shiny happys', who are pleased for God to irresistibly damn billions of others, for no fault of their own, but because they say God made it impossible for them to be saved, "for His glory and good pleasure", as wicked Calvin used to say. If the Bible didn't abundantly say otherwise, perhaps they might be excused for that conclusion, but they read the same Bible, for the most part, and simply stonewall the scriptures that don't fit. Beware of teachers who prefer the pronouncements of philosopher-theologians, to the gospel scriptures that can, and do, set people free.

I've never heard a pastor say, come to Jesus and your problems will be over. If they do they don't know the Bible BUT YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE A "REFORMED CALVINIST" TO KNOW THAT!! Come on R.C. you should know better. 😖

The "washing of regeneration" of Titus 3:5 occurs during water baptism.
Because of the shed blood of Christ during water baptism, the Holy Spirit curcumcises our conscience, removing the guilt brought about by wilful sin and restores' it to its' original childlike innocence.
The word " regeneration" in the new testaments' original Greek means "to return something to its' original state."
The original state of our conscience is that of an innocent child. This makes what occurs as the result of our obedience to repent and be water baptized being " born of the water" in John 3:5.
The writer of Hebrews states that under the old covenant that the blood of bulls and goats was ineffective in dealing with " consciousness of sin"( Hebrews 10:1,2) which is guilt.
Thus, their sins were only covered, resulting in the Spirit of God only occupying the Holy Of Holies temporarily.
This resulted in the rights having to be repeated each year.
The blood of animals couldn't deal with the guilt resulting from wilful sin, but the blood of Christ did and does.
Now, the Holy Spirit can dwell in the " temple" of the believers' body on a permanent basis.

Sproul has really messed this up. When you are regenerated by the Holy Spirit, you receive power to live a holy life. Sproul's understanding of Romans 7 is wrong. In Roman's 7, Paul is speaking about his struggles in the flesh, under the law, not as a Spirit filled Christian.
