Honestly, we would already have 60 of just a few percentage points shifted in the past two elections. If all the states that went for Trump also elected the R senator, we’d have 57. Just from ‘24 alone. Add in the 3 or so we should have won in ‘22 and we’d be at 60 today. The GOP needs to get its senate problem under control now. Because McCormick is literally the only truly the only notable upset they’ve pulled off in a while. The other states they’ve flipped in recent cycles are states they should never have been losing anyway, and states that are more or less becoming solidly red.

60 seats would be great but we need more than that. We need to get to 67 or 68 so we can remove a lot of these activist federal judges all over the place.

It's not a filibuster proof majority if Susan Collins is one of the 60 because that would be just 59. You need to get rid of Collins, McConnell and Murkowski and then flip 10 seats.

Hell, Karl Rove predicted in 2004 that due to their Electoral College advantage Republicans would win the Presidency for the next 20 years...they lost the next election. This was followed by Democrats and their 'demographics are destiny' tripe claiming the same thing in 2012...then they lost the next election. No one can predict the future...period.

I just find that Musk has alienated everyone asides from his core, loyalist tech bros. Progressives don't like him cause he sided with Trump, MAGA people don't like him because he betrayed Trump, and Christians don't like him because of the whole baphomet thing, and the neurolink rubbish.

Not surprising - the Dems have more or less ceded the vast interior of the country, and even their sun belt strategy doesn't seem to be paying dividends since places like Texas, Georgia and Arizona remain a mirage and bounced back pretty sharply to the GOP in 2024, while Florida, Ohio, Iowa, etc. are totally off the table for them now.

Repubs should have won the Nevada, Wisconsin, and Michigan senate seats in 2024.
