Do I Have a Blood Clot or DVT? Signs & Symptoms

lol maybe a little bit red? More like red, swollen to the extent of 10cm, extremely painful. I’ve had 6 DVTs and two PEs since 2016. Ive had them in my calf , back of knee and thigh. I also have factor V Leiden which nobody seems to mention in these videos. Each time I go to hospital and say “I think I have a DVT” I get laughed at by nurses who doesn’t think you can get DVTs if you’re on thinners, it definitely can happen, I’ve proven it a few times.

I feel for all these people who have had suffered with PEs. Am hoping that they do not occur any more.

My right leg has started really aching. Burning sensation. The veins are BURSTING through. Purple colour, warm. Constantly throbbing

Im also getting palpitations from time to time


My mother had a pulmonary embolism in 1989 which technically killed her for almost a minute

She has ever since suffered severe DVT . Extremely discoloured legs and has been told she will need a wheel chair in later life


My grans’ sister who lived in Canada was a famous amputee who paved the way for lots of disabled facilities where she was from.

Now. I am in the UK
I am struggling to see a doctor.
My surgery made an appointment for me to see my GP
i took time off work to
visit the surgery. When I got there, It was not a GP but a nurse waiting for me🤦🏻‍♂️

She was next to useless.

I highlight this blood disorder to her in my files. She just had a blank face. She started GOOGLING it 🤦🏻‍♂️

I HATE hospitals or any medical place ! They make you feel BAD for even CONTACTING them!!

I HATE the NHS with so much passion and I begrudge having to pay a large chunk of my salary to them while receiving ZERO expert care!!!

Im now currently looking going to a private clinic and paying eye watering amounts just for a consultation


I just want my leg scanned and assessed by someone who appreciates my symptoms , family history and blood thing


Im typing this while at work and my leg is BURNING and throbbing!

Im taking so many aspirin just in the hope that it thins the blood down and prevents the chance of it clotting



Bottom line.

Hey doctor I been having leg pain since February bt I still walk brisk walking everyday since then. My breathing has not been the best if I try to run then my breathing slows down or is less contrary to brisk walking. What should I do I visited my PCP she prescribed meds for me that I don't think will work. Now my legs usually feel like stiffness I took fish oil it helped bt my breathing got heavier with minor activity... I know you guys have knowledge what is usual migraines also the fish oil felt like it help bt I read it can cause external bleeding so I drank water and probiotics it helped. What should I do next leg pain + migraines fatigue

My sister and I have a rare blood disease but dont know what its called. My sister beat 3 blood clots last year from in her leg. A vein dr in baton rouge Louisiana was the dr that she was seeing and when she found out that she had that rare blood disease she wanted to test me to see if i had it as well and I did and found it was from our mothers side. Tragically my sister passed July of 23, but I will never know why. I believe it was from a blot clot. Bc the week of her passing she felt off and instead of her going to the hospital she ended up driving in a river and passing away. Ive went to the dr recently bc I dont feel good. My heart and liver and lymphocytes levels were crazy off the charts. When i tell them what i think is going on they tell me im stupid and laugh in my face. Its started in my left food going up to behind my knee up to my grauin area. By the end of each day i wont be able to walk bc my foot and now entire leg is in so much pain and swollen. Now im getting migraines to where i feel like my brain is gunna pop. I have those small veraclose veins popping up everywhere. With discolor on my foot. After my sister passed i got a tattoo from a trusted friend so i thought of my sister's name. They did find that i have hep C but says they aren't worried about that right now they want to find out whats wrong with my heart and liver. I am prescribed clozapam for anxiety and panic attacks. That is the only thing lately that seems to take the pressure down from my head. I hate taking them bc im scared im gunna go to sleep and not wake up and just hate taking meds unless i really need them. Tonight is a bad night again. I have discolor in my foot almost a dark brown color. I will not go to the er bc of the last multiple times even with me having high blood pressure and the tightness in my chest and all other signs they look at me laugh and tell me im no dr. Mind you they never did any test to check me. Just sent me home bc of reasons I dont want to say. The dr that my sister was seeing and tested me for rare blood disease wasnt dr that did any of this. I will be making an appointment with her in am. Im just wondering what yall thought. They dont know whats wrong with me and my liver dr told me if i had a blood clot which i dont and to stop googling, maybe ill be the lucky one that just will pass away in my sleep. 😭😭 I would desperately love ur advice

I have had a pe and a dvt now on Elequise for the rest of my life.

I just recently got diagnosed with a rare blood clot disorder called Antiphospholipid Syndrome. My hematologist is testing me every so often for this disorder to keep an eye on my glysoprotine. She did 3 tests every 6 weeks to see if these proteins are high and not a false positive. but those three test did come back positive.

I'm a hairdresser who stands still all day and worried there's a small hard lump on my leg and it hurts around my knee... have doctor appointment Wednesday. 😐

Could a repeated hamstring injury cause this?

Not sure if anyone will respond, but my mom (currently 80 years young with dementia, high blood pressure, and recently was in a temporary senior care facility after her hip surgery earlier this year) had a hip fracture surgery 4 months ago and is now getting that bruise mark by where the surgery was on (right upper hip part down her thigh) . My younger brother and I notice it has gotten bigger. That same side of her leg (calves and feet too) is swollen, so we 've been soaking that side of her leg in Epsom Salt. Soaking has some what helped but still "swollen" (you can notice the difference still compared to the other "better leg". I decided to share this after you tow mention in the video of the "shortness of breath" part as she has this every time I "try" to help her walk in her walker. I literally have been assisting /carrying her underneath with my knee as she is that weak, which we think it's due the swollen right leg. I told my dad this and he keeps saying we can wait till Thursday (26th of June) , which I feel (today is Sunday, June 23rd) I can't go through another week trying walk my mom as she struggles breathing and in pain. Thoughts? My younger brother and I feel we should take her to Urgent Care!

Everyone I know that's vaccinated still got COVID. Also I only know people that died after receiving the vaccine. I have NEVER heard of anyone that died unvaccinated...ever. I'm sure unvaccinated deaths happen yet its so rare. There defiantly should be an investigation on whether "novel vaccine" is still suitable for human use.

I had an aunt who had multiple DVT/ PE almost 2 years ago and then the same thing just happened to me a few months ago. The doctors don’t seem concerned that it’s hereditary..I was on birth control for 8 months.

My fit elderly huband is in hospital now for blood clot in calf and lung after 2nd total knee replacement. They used the old VQ test on him since he was JUST told AFTER 2nd TKR he has kidney disease and they couldn't use CT scan. He developed overflow incontinence after surgery so they put a Foley catheter in and bloody urine began, thinking they pierced some bladder veins, just after draining blatter of 1 litre of fluid! They put a vena cava filter in his vein to protect from future clots travelling to lungs since his kidney cant tolerate more aggressive heparin IV. Now trying less damaging heparin injections. Dr said now have to test bladder and kidneys for cancer! How did a knee surgery spiral so out of control!! 1st surgery 4 months earlier went well.

I went to two doctors, one of them a cardiologist, and both of them didn't consider long hours of sitting and dehydration as causes of DVT. Their information is fixed on being obese, a smoker, or old old person. Although I got most of the symptoms; they asked me to come "only" when I got worse like "almost dead" instead of preventing the current situation. It depends on the country that you live in. Now I am literally living on prayers.

Tests showed a genetic mutation of Factor V, I believe and am now stuck on Xarelto 20 mg q. day for life. Even w/insurance, it’s $230 |for 30 tabs.

I had a PE two months after having Covid.. it’s not talked about much but at the hospital it was the first thing they asked me

I first had PE in 2019 few in ryt lung was on thinners, then this year was low on oxygen had went to hospital where was tols had large clots in both lungs and heart and also diagnosed DVT. Cant remember the first 4 days in icu cos i was so low with oxygen but after that it was the pain in leg from dvt, was getting morphine and oxy but that didnt help managed to get the doc to stop diving me them n give me dehydracodine instead, within 45min i ws pain free, he couldnt believe how a weaker pain killer worked than wat 2 strong 1s shouldve. Still suffering breathlessness, got appointment next month with respitory, c how that goes.
