Long time watcher here! I've been watching makeup videos for over 10 years now and you're one of the few content creators who I'm still watching.
I enjoy your content, and I trust you completely. You are a born educator, and although of course I don't know you, I believe you are as beautiful on the inside as you are in the outside. I also really appreciate that you enjoy being a woman and make no apologies for that. You are a beautiful example of how we can celebrate ourselves as women at any age. By the way, I am going to be 67 this year and I love a full face of make up even with my mostly casual clothing style.

Risa, You are such a genuine person and I have been watching your videos for months now. When you describe your skin and I see your skin up close it looks so much like mine. (Of course you are beautiful and I in no means can compare). I just don’t know how you get your skin looking so beautiful and flawless. Actually I am visiting Las Vegas next week and was wondering what foundation do you recommend for the heat in Las Vegas? Foundation just seems to melt right off of my face when I get hot. I thought about the Ester Lauder one that stays on but wanted to check with you. Also if there is a drugstore one that you recommend. Only asking because I live in a small town and would have to travel 35 to 40 miles unless Ulta would have it or I keep forgetting we do have a Sephora now in Kohls. (Just never go there and forget about it). I guess what I’m trying to say is I’m not opposed to purchasing high end if I can get it but if there is something just as good I would try it also. You seem to have so much more packaging in the U.S, I bought the Revolution mascara in the U.K. and it comes in just a seal you just pull off the tube and have noticed on a few products !

Elf Brow Pen: Ive been through a couple of these and both took a bit to get the ink working.

I had to flick it (hard) pointing downwards. Then press the side of the brush on my hand. Then finally the ink started flowing. If you can get the ink to flow, it’s a great brow pen that gives really fine strokes.

Dior lip and cheek is a ridiculous price point for the cheap packaging…

Now that high-end makeup seems to be going out of style amongst the 40+ crowd, I am diggin' these drugstore reviews. I have bins of high end that i havent used in a long time, i am now into Rimmel. Kind & Free has the loveliest shade match for my skin, just slightly deeper toned so i get the glowy tan look. It's a skin tint, so application & blending is beyond easy. Yes, i still have my Estee Lauder & :Lancome, but my daily is pure drugstore

Your skin looked really beautiful in this video! Love the bronzer stick, too. I'm probably one of the only people around that's glad skinny brows are coming back in. I'm also a gen-x-er (barely) and remember the over plucking days. I was definitely guilty of this, but I have naturally thin brows, anyway, and have come to realize that thinner brows truly do suit me better than thicker ones. I've tried filling in my brows and trying to fluff them out, but they seem to dominate my face too much when I do that. Something about my facial proportions just doesn't seem to allow for thicker brows. So I guess what I should say is, I'm glad skinny brows are in, because I'll have trendy brows for the first time in 20 years LOL but I always have thin brows because that's just the way I was made. 😂 Some people definitely overdid it on the thick, blocky brows, and I think now we're swinging to the skinny brows just because the internet loves extremes.

How do you get your brows so short? I try to keep mine really short because I had them tattooed on, but I don’t want to shave them off.

I never over plucked but as I went to post menapasual stage hair got thinner , lashes, brows ,even my legs dont need to ve shaved more than 2 to 3 days a week.
