Chris Titus Linux just did this video last week, first week of November 2019. He then tried to play some games on it and had some moderate success, but said there were still to many things that just didn't work right to make it a real solution.

Nice video. The problem with Windows Server 2019 is that you miss a lot of drivers OOB e.g. AMD or Intel chipset drivers, WLAN support, etc. Also, the NVIDIA Control panel will not work as it requires the Windows Store. Same for more and more applications I’m afraid like Audirvana

After I install windows server 2019 on disk i can restart it only 2 times after some time it crashes this pc is broken or it is not compatipble something is wrong with hardware

I have just made the switch to Windows Server on my desktop computer do to the need of using Remote Desktop while another user is using the computer.
Biggest pain I had is to enable Wifi, maybe a video about that would help (but not how to figure out the drivers?)

-Wireless Lan (By Server Manager)
-Prevent User from installing print driver (Local Security Policy)
-Printer (Activate by Server Manager, later)
-Activate Indexing

-Hide Server Manager after start (Manage>Server Manager Properties>Do Not Start Server Manager)

in windows server 2012 R2 used a lot the "Windows Server Remote Access" which was part of the Windows Server Essentials Experience which alow me to acces from any browser my server once the user and password was entered... now Im in the process of installing Server Essentials 2019 but this windows server remote access (not to confuse with Windows server Remote Desktop web access) is not available... how can I install something similar? or what are my options?

Huge thumbs up! This is really great information. Because I'm really considering using W-Server22 over W11. But I still have some questions.

The main reason is W11being so difficult to configure to function like a normal basic OS with no bloat. How to disable anything and everything in Windows from accessing the internet. Which it should never do. Well I don't know yet how to comprehensively go through everything in W11 to make sure it doesn't happen. Including completely disable Update from even functioning for as long as I'm not doing any sort of checking for and installing updates. Then there are all the background processes that are just running for absolutely no reason. And this includes exiting applications, yet there are processes related to it still running in the background. So I was wondering if W-Server22 is a better solution. So I can properly configure it for only the absolute base necessary functionality of OS. Not trying to access the internet or run anything in the background. Exiting applications, and they are actually fully shut down. And if I can still use everything as I normally would on desktop. Like software and hardware. As I do have special hardware setup for A/V production as well as plan to setup for Virtual Reality (connection with headset and such). Lastly, if there is any way to setup an environment for Windows Store and related applications to function. And if there is a free way to activate W-Server22 which is completely unaffordable.

Otherwise, if possible, in-depth video on fully disabling everything in W11 so that it runs as a barebone OS. Including disabling Edge. And possible security features if intending to use third-party security. Because I'm having a really really difficult time finding info on this. Pretty much all information is just superficial tweaks without really getting into the system to put a stop to all the annoying/intrusive functions.

normal windows server disables gui after disconnecting from remote desktop, will it stay in normal desktop gui always???
