I found it's easier to just call a reboot in my batch file if claymore exits badly. My card only does this after about 5 to 10 hours; a quick reboot on SSD loses only about a minute or two of mining. Maybe I'm just lazy ;P

The problem is because you are overclocking too much or a heat issue. It's why OPENCL is hanging.

I find you should do the same thing as leaving the odd card as standard as its not a big loss and it still can mine for you.

This will only really matter to you if the electricity costs are a bother.

It's funny as I have a rig which is completely identical but it the 2nd rig always has a dodgy GPU3 hang. I can't explain why it happens but the best way to try and keep any overclock tests settings on that SPECIFIC card is to turn WATCHDOG OFF so at least you will know if the OC was successful or not, but you get to at least carry on mining as when this happens, it will not be mining after trying to restart itself I found out.

I am having problem with one of my card n I resetted my card clocking as per box and still I am getting same opencl error..I am not aware where to enter wd 0 and gser 2.. Please help me how to enter them n where to enter those commands

When i type in "-" for the first part of any of those commands, the command prompt responds with "-dcri is set to 30 (for all GPUs)" and I cant finish my command. How do i get past this?

Hey just wanted to let you know I was having the same problem in a RIG with four GPUs ~MSI RX 580s~ I simply turned off the RIG, let it cool down for five minutes "Rebooted", the started running Claymore! Interestingly enough I think the system or one of the GPUs was to cool around 61 degrees & for whatever reason wasn't responding well? After around five minutes and the temperatures hitting around 68-72 degrees I added an external fan blowing air on the RIG at a furious rate! I also placed the RIG near a window allowing plenty of ventilation! Heat is going to be the biggest issue moving forward after expanding to 3 to 4 RIGs! The better the ventilation the better the hashrate...the better your hardware is going ultimately perform! I have learned a great deal from your videos.....thanks my friend ~Cheers~

Hi please someone can help me, I'm going crazy. I have 7 asus rx580 whit AMD beta blockchain driver install and bios. All cards going stable to 29.500 Mhs. Using Claymore mining or Simple mining I have a big problem, after 10 mins or less some card go to 0.0000Mhs and the miner freeze. Sometime miner start whit only 6 card, and I have to restart it.
(I've tried to put original bios, original driver, reinstall windows, but same problem also with 20Mhs)

Not sure if this will help anyone but after almost 1 month Of having the same issue, my problem turned out to be with PSU. On my previous rigs I used Corsair RM1200 PSU's but on the new one I have HX1200 which has a switch on the back between single and multiple. It was set on multiple and after an hour or sometimes even 2 minutes a random card would fail. Since I see itched it to single my rig has now been working for over 3 days without any issues what so ever. According to Corsair if the switch is in 'multiple' position each connector has Over Current Protection so if there is current surge in your outlet it will limit the power hence why a GPU would not get enough power and stop working. Try it and let me know if it solves the problem.

watchdog - thread x, hb time error line means, iam only experiencing that thinkg, i dont even see this in the miner, only at the debug file, after a while its restarts the miner, really sometimes it freeze the claymore.

I did what you said and it still hangs most of the time saying "Watchdog: gpu error, need to restart miner" this occur after the red lines saying "gpu miner cu_k1 failed 4 unspecified launch failure" Please Help me
