I just tried out BitDefender for the first time after being a long time Avast user, and I honestly really miss Avast. It felt like I had an antivirus. with BD it feels like... I don't know. There are three options, and that's the entirety of the program right there. Almost like a mobile antivirus.

Why does every fucking anti-virus program have to give you damn advertisements, is there a completely free anti-virus program that doesn't force you to purchase it? Fucking tired of Avast!

I just uninstalled a paid subscription of Avast Internet Security because after the latest update to Avast Internet Security version 11.2.2261 my old trusty Tosh started running HOT (fan kept wheezing non stop) and and SLOW. [Machine Specs: Windows 7 Pro. 32bit, SP1, on a Toshiba Satellite A200 laptop with Intel Core 2 T5300 @ 1.73 GHz CPU with 3 GB Ram and a 250 GB OCZ SSD hard drive.]
Checked task manager for resource usage, and found file [avastsvc.exe] hogging more than 50% of CPU resources even when idle, sucking them like a black hole.
Tried repairing the programme to no avail, tried uninstall (and then CPU ran miraculously like a cool breeze for a while) and reinstalled, ...but same thing again.
Got no response from Avast IT dept. so....
Installed a 30 day trial BitDefender Internet Security package, which looks simpler and leaner than Avast.
Checked resources use and found less than 5% are used when idle!!..
Kudos BitDefender..!!!!!

Avast is better but use more cpu and memory then BitDefender

I currently have Avast paid on one laptop & Bitdefender on my newer laptop. Since I would like to only use one program, and have it also scan phones & tablets, which program do you recommend?

Hm. Despite Avast obviously being better in the protection department, while you had the task manager up, I couldn't help but notice that Avast is a much heavier, resource intensive antivirus. Bitdefender seems like it would be a better choice for low budget or older computers.

Avast detects TOO good cuz u detected roblox even tho when i scanned there was no viruses. Ima change my antivirus tomorrow.

wow, thanks for this video, definitely going to get one of these simply for using WAY less ram than my MSE right now all bloated using 168mb ram -__- when bitdefender uses ~10mb and avast uses like ~25mb

I think you should use comodo firewall with avast antivirus

Hello. I wonder if in comparing the Avast antivirus came with the default settings or some options were modified. I am not native speaking english and I do not know if this information is said in the video.
