Why the heck was GCPD never this efficient and on-the-ball when the villains were stirring up trouble?

The closest I think Batman would be caught and unmasked,by GCPD... (not counting dream sequences, parallel universes, or situations where someone else is hypnotised, or situation where someone let him get away..)

The real question is why the hell can't the GCPD be this competent against the Joker, Two-Face or all the rest of Batman's damned Rogue's Gallery?

I was a kid when this came out and remember this was the first time I was worried Batman was finally going to get caught.

Phantasm is the ancestor of Ghostface. And this animated movie is the ancestor of the Scream franchise.

"Oh, no, he got away in a car! I wish we had something so we could track that car down. Like, a helicopter, maybe..." 😳

Just showed, you can do so much good but if it is thought you did something bad, all that good is forgotten & you can be hunted down.

I kinda always loved how anachronistic this show was. 40s cars, art deco architecture, 90s computers... I wanna see that aesthetic again. To hell what era it's in, just cherry-pick what looks cool. It's all comic books, man.

There should have been ample coverage showing that Batman did not show up until after the building blew up.

Even if Batman managed to leave a message for Havey Bullock and tell him who the real killer of some mobsters in Gotham City & what the real killer's description is, would Harvey believe it, or would he refuse after being humiliated when Batman got away from him and those cops behind him?

This movie feels like What the creators really wanted to do with The Animated Series.
