Such a great video Emily! After years of trying to figure out what my style and color palette are, now watching this video, I just realized that when I was in college I was actually doing all the things you’re talking about and had a minimal wardrobe but one I was happy with that I could mix and match. I always got compliments on my wardroom and even had other girls that lived in my dorm borrow some of my clothes. Through the years I got caught up in buying things that were cute but just not me. Thank you for taking me back to the basics of my style and color palette!

Your advice to stop comparing your wardrobe to others' is so helpful. I joined Alyssa Beltempo's subscription for a few months. While it was a nice group of girls I couldn't stop feeling frustrated by how boring my closet is compared to Alyssa's amazing collection. I was shaming myself thinking how much older I am than her, and thus my style and closet should have been perfected long ago. Ultimately I decided it wasn't a healthy way to spend my time and $$.

I loved this video. I made my own color palette that looks like the seasonal ones from Pantone. Only this one will never go out of date. I looked at the actual colors in my closet.I would post a photo but can’t figure out how to do that.

Thank you so much I started to compare myself to this girl at my job who has a tall body, long legs and has style. I kept struggling to ignore it because I felt bad about my own weight and I’m working on it. This video helped a lot and opened up that if I need to get help for low self esteem then I could get help but reaching out to people to talk to find a solution to fix this problem..

It's a long time ago that I stopped comparing myself with others. However, I love to watch the style and the way of dressing of other women. It's so interrsting and inspiring, but I never think that I would like to wear the exact same thing! It's so nice to have an own wardrobe that makes sense for me personally. This fact can really create fun and "wellness" in our daily life! I am looking forward to each morning because of getting dressed! However, it took me some years to arrive at this point 😉😊

I can't imagine trying a several outfits in the morning before settling on one. I get up, look in my closet and decide to wear something. I rarely change clothes completely, though I may change one top for another. I don't have a wish list. I see no need. I buy the things I like and just don't 'long' for a certain piece. I know what colours look good on me and ones I prefer over others. I am in the 'wear what makes you happy' camp of 'fashion'. No trends, no overthinking, no fancy brand names, just wearing the things I like to wear. I donate the things I don't wear or no longer sing to me to my local women's shelter. I just don't find fashion all that difficult. Probably because I don't care about trends or what other people think. 😀

Have you done a color analysis? I just did mine with Color Analysis Studio (Australia) online and I feel like it was very validating and brought a lot more clarity for clothing, accessories, hair, makeup, etc. I’d definitely recommend it!!

Yes, everything came together for me once I recognized my color palette and curated mostly according to that. Makes it so easy and so much versatility.
