he may be avg. 15 to 20 ppg throughout his nba career, but if u add his apg w/c is min. of 5, he's like scoring 25 to 30 ppg avg. throughout his career

Magic DEFINITELY the greatest transition player ever. Don’t know if they’ll ever be another that pushes the ball like Magic. It was just crazy. Full speed ahead and fearless. I was a Magic guy.

In current time it is crazy to see how guards where always his main defender. Now surely a wing would defend him. Altough the opposing guards still need to defend someone. Feels this is understaded in the video.

Pick your poison is between having a guard defending and let him basically unopposed pass or have a wing on him which needs to have enough speed and you need to defend someone else with your guards.

most basketball like MJ defeated other teams by scoring a lot and also playing crocodile like Kobe but Earving Johnson and his team defeated teams by him not scoring much but dishing much assist that his team mates scored a lot. but Magic also score a lot. When Magic have the ball his mind is seeking to pass the ball to the open man and only to shoot the ball when there is no open man to dish the ball.

I'm asking this without any ulterior motive or angle: weren't the refs still calling palming back then, meaning a lot? I guess they already weren't, because.... And it really is a tough one... is the game better because of the limitless offensive possibilities it opened up, or would offense be savored more the rarer it is, like in soccer? Could even more eye popping stuff be created around such a limit? All I know is the only person I've seen palm it more is Steve Nash. What I'd like to know if any of y'all know, when was palming really first allowed?

A lot of ppl think Magic was slow but at 6'9 he was very fast and quick it just looks slow due to his long strides
Also Magic chose not to play fast at certain times to control the pace of the game the same way Luka Doncic does as a playmaker
If Magic played in a league based on scoring more then defense then he'd be Luka

When one realizes that Basketball is a team sport, then Magic is the GOAT IMO. Yes his problematic knees plagued him for most of his career making it hard for him defensively especially towards the end of his career.

Officially 6'9 at peak. He was 6'8 at Lansing Everett with a fro that made him seem taller. But with his assists and ability to take over a game, he was responsible for a lot of points. The baddest point guard of all time, one of the baddest players (Mt Rushmore) of all time.
