i started played this game when i was like 10 yo, its been 8 damn years since i have this theme in my head no matter why i do i still whistle it

They shouldn't worry about building a model for every single equipment piece, and just make outfits for the really cool ones and let you switch whenever like in 11S.

I have such a vivid memory of this game. I was nine years old that 2009 summer morning. The sun was but barely licking the sky by the time I awoke; I was too excited to sleep in. I found myself watching the same Dragonball episodes on repeat that I had burned into VHS tapes five years prior, waiting impatiently for my dad to come home with the game after working that Saturday. I remember him coming home as I immediately tore open the case from its plastic wrapping, frantically slotting in the cartridge.

I brought it everywhere and played it constantly. I remember bringing it to the daycare at my mom's gym, or bringing the guide book to school to read during recess while I told my friends of the adventures my character went on. I remember playing it three years later after coming home from surgery to help with my month-long recovery. I remember restarting the game in highschool five years after that, as I had made my first new friends through it after moving to a new district. I played the game to help me cope with my first breakup after a three-year-long relationship, finding warmth in the company of my party members. I always seemed to find myself playing it again during those big watershed moments of my life.

I'm 22 now, and I'm about to graduate for college in May and move to work in DC, yet I always seem to find myself yearning for this game in particular during every watershed moment in my life. This song especially though holds a weird place in my heart. So often am I hiking or whatever and find myself whistling this song. I never seem to know that the song is, or why it feels so familiar, but there's a real comfort to it that reminds me of a simpler time; one where all that mattered was saving up my allowance for a new DS game.

And here I am, listening to that same track as I finish up one of my last finals for the semester. I leave campus to go home for the holidays in a couple days, and I would not be surprised if I end up dusting the game off one more time well over a decade after it came out.

This music is damn near about to make me cry, god damn.

Oh what a giddy song i say. i be fooling around, floricing in fields to this tune is what I be doing.

This game is peak SOVL. Just look at the art style and amount of detail put into creating this vast, beautiful, cozy world. The fact that it's so customizable and there's so much to do just makes it the perfect game to foster creativity and ispiration. I'm so glad this game was a part of my childhood, I love it so much.

This theme seriously makes me wanna replay this again. Felt like there was so much to explore that I absolutely missed as a kid.
