Warden Norton's Discovery | The Shawshank Redemption

Warden Samuel Norton enters Andy's cell after learning that Andy is missing. Bewildered by Andy's disappearance, Norton begins to investigate the cell, searching for any clue that might explain how Andy escaped. As he examines the cell, he notices a small rock from Andy's rock collection that seems out of place. He picks it up and tosses it at the poster of Raquel Welch hanging on the wall.

To his shock and surprise, the rock goes straight through the poster, revealing the hidden tunnel behind it. Norton pulls the poster away, uncovering the hole that Andy had been digging for 19 years. The camera pans into the tunnel, showing the audience just how far Andy had tunneled to escape. This scene is a dramatic moment that highlights the cleverness of Andy's escape plan and the extent of his determination to break free from Shawshank.
