Ultralight But Still Warm - Reviewing all my Enlightened Equipment Gear in one video

I have a medium Torrid Jacket and agree about it being tight around the chest and arm pits. Also around neck and chin. But very warm.

Ouch, I was really feeling this jacket until you talked about how misfitting it is. Not so sure I want it now.

I finally got out in heavy rain in my visp. It fits huge and the left handed waterproof zipper is tricky but that means it layers well and I keep it partly zipped and just pull it over my head like an anorak. It breathes like it’s not there and repels water well. I’ve only been in the rain for a couple hours so I don’t know how long it would take to wet out but a couple hours is not bad.

Im done trying out apparel from cottage gear makers. Switching to companies who specialize in outdoor apparel is such a huge difference in performance and comfort. So much RnD goes into fit and range of motion and performace that cottage quilt makers just cant give to the product.

I've got a 20 degree synthetic Enlightened Equipment quilt and this winter I've been using it on my couch for taking naps. Much superior to blankets or throws.

From a warmth - price ratio, I cannot recommend the torrid jacket enough. I live in Chicago and only wear it when it's sub 20 degrees because of how warm it is. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a super warm, ultralight jacket.
