ОтветитьYou don’t need bias tape. Just 2.5” strips sewn together works great and uses less fabric. Great Quilt! ❤
ОтветитьI am a 67 year old man. Not at all a sewer. Just a regular guy. But I’m making a small hanging quilt out of my retired neckties so I’m watching tutorials. Yours is so inspiring. It is a joy watching your spirit and openness about your own self-doubt as I am filled with my own. GREAT QUILT YOU MADE. Love Leo the pooch too.
ОтветитьSo beautiful ❤
ОтветитьThis is gorgoeus ❤ Bravo! Thank you for sharing
ОтветитьIt’s so pretty ❤😍, that’s a huge achievement keep it up 👍🏻 loved watching your whole process ❤
ОтветитьHi! I love seeing people try quilting for the first time. It makes me feel like I can do it too. :)
Please don't iron on your cutting mat!! Even with something underneath it. The heat can warp your cutting board and ruin the accuracy. 😬
Congrats, So excited to see you do this. I love the quilt too
ОтветитьCute dog 🐶
ОтветитьSo on our quilting group our next step would be to pin the three layers the top the batting and the backing. Then after that you decide whether you want to do it by hand or by machine and that's the quilting of the top. When you finish that and you're happy with it then you cut the quilt down , you square it, then the last step would be binding.
Awesome quilt top.
Beautiful creativity quilt. Loved this video.❤
ОтветитьThis really makes me think I can complete my quilt tops.
ОтветитьI have been quilting since a major back injury in 2021 and I love to find/see people making their first quilts. I am so happy for you, you did an amazing job!
ОтветитьIt’s so so cute and beautiful 🤩 congratulations 🙌🏻
ОтветитьWatching this for quilting inspiration and it’s working. 😍
ОтветитьIt is beautiful!!! Whatever imperfections you see make it even more beautiful as a handmade object of joy and love. It is so satisfying to make a handmade throw or quilt. Its a form of self care /survival skill. Just think when there wasn't a store in every corner to buy a quilt, or even readily available fabric and thread, a woman's family might suffer greatly or worse if she didn't acquire this skill. We are blessed.
ОтветитьVery very beautiful quilt, I loved it
ОтветитьIt turned out so cool. I’m about to start my first quilt myself. For my daughter made out of old baby clothes. What size is your blanket?
ОтветитьYou did a great job! It thrills me to see so many lovely young women taking up quilting.
ОтветитьYou go girl. I just got my sewing machine, so next rotery cutter and mat and ill be ready to quilt. got tons of cloth from my moms stash. Ill soon be joining you on this adventure
ОтветитьVery awesome job on your first quilt
ОтветитьLovely great job.... I did a tote bag last week
Ответитьit was a joy to watch you make your first quote and it’s beautiful and it really doesn’t need to be perfect. It’s yours to enjoy. I made my first quote recently drove me a little crazy to do it correctly and it came out. All right should be better.
ОтветитьWoo hoo! Great job, girl!

ОтветитьYou did a great job! I love seeing young people have an interest in quilting.
Ответитьawesome effort with success!!
ОтветитьThis is beautiful
ОтветитьAre they 4 or 4.5 inch squares you start with? Lovely!
ОтветитьLeo’s giant tooth stole my heart 😂 I am so impressed with your quilt! I’m still cutting squares for my first quilt and I swear that alone is nerve racking and I will have the guidance of an experienced quilt maker! I’m just so impressed with you!!
ОтветитьGreatest job! Love it
ОтветитьThat is so beautiful. Well done and you have inspired my very first project 😍
ОтветитьBeautiful!!
ОтветитьWell done looks great x
ОтветитьReally a beautiful quilt! I'm envious. It's so pretty. It's like one I started so I think I should finish it. Thanks.
ОтветитьAbsolutely gorgeous ❤
Ответитьso upset I didnt know about this other channel sooner, but not upset I get to binge watch ;)
ОтветитьWay to go! Your first quilt is awesome! I have never soaked my batting. I suggest a rag quilt for your next creation. I like a cotton print for the top layer, then a flannel square for the batting and then a flannel square for the backing. I made one for my dog and she loves it!
ОтветитьSew your binding to the back and flip to the front and sew down.
ОтветитьThis is bringing me back to the wonderful memories of my grandma teaching me to make my first quit 😍 Thank you so much for sharing! One tip, in the future you can find free quilt binding calculators online to tell you how many strips of fabric you need for your binding. I don’t love the step of making the binding so I want to make sure I’m only making as much as I absolutely need to.
ОтветитьNot a bad job for your first. Practice makes perfect. You need to choose a backing fabric, batting and enough to make the binding. Love your pattern ❤ iris. the quilting can be Stitch in the ditch or tie through. You also need to pin baste as you only caught the edges to stop quilt moving as you sew😊
ОтветитьGreat job, Becca, on your quilt 👏
ОтветитьGenial👍
ОтветитьThe imperfections make it beautiful and perfectly yours! Love it. You did really well.
ОтветитьA gorgeous quilt! Congratulations.
ОтветитьWell done 👏👏 Great first result 🤩 Just to let you know I’ve never soaked my batting as I like the ‘texture’ the shrinking creates on my quilts 😃 Good luck with your next quilt 👍👍🇬🇧
