ОтветитьWell that's an interesting intro
ОтветитьHay, i wanted to say that I'm really enjoying your videos. The concept of your game is amazing. I really like procedural elements in video games and think they have so much potential, so i hope your game will explode in popularity
ОтветитьThe history generation looks so cool for what you've got so far. Can't wait to see how it grows over time
ОтветитьThat opening tune made me laugh aloud!
ОтветитьDon't give up, we believe in you.
Ответитьwhere every solo game falls apart is the cool abstract systems and features being implemented into actual levels and playable gameplay.
ОтветитьI've been following your dev logs for a while now and I must say, this whole history system is really fascinating and has so much potential. In a way, it reminds me of Rimworld's story generation, albeit here the outcomes are determined algorithmically rather than by player actions. I can't wait to see where this project is headed.
ОтветитьThis is awesome, excited to buy this game when it comes out
ОтветитьThat intro was unexpected LMAOOOOOOOO (imo its not tho :))
Ответитьi love your project, please stay healthy tho
Ответитьbanger vid
Ответитьcool
Ответитьthe bill wurtz intro goes hard
Ответитьplease add textures to the grass, trees and rocks 🙏🙏🙏🙏, I love how the game is shaping up so far.
Ответить"I'ma make a cool game about an explorer of procedural islands!" [Proceeds to create the foundation for Dwarf Fortress and Caves of Qud crossover]. Sickening. But like, in the cool way.
ОтветитьLooking forward to seeing how the history system will evolve and how this will integrate with the gameplay as development goes on :)
good luck with the job search though! Hope you find something good :D (but not toooo toooooo good, we all want to see more content :p)
I hope you find a jobso you can get some stability for yourself, your child, and of course the game. Best of luck! Also don't call yourself dumb in your videos, i know it's a joke but berating yourself isn't helpful in times of stress. You're not dumb. You're obviously very smart with this project is proof enough. :-)
ОтветитьSuper cool game and concepts you are implementing here. Looking forward to following along!
ОтветитьProcedural generation for the roguelike lord, comments for the algorithm gods
ОтветитьThis series has constantly been inspiring me and encouraging me to continue working on my own game! Your dedication is admirable and I really hope to see your incredible game continue to grow! Thanks 💪
ОтветитьLove seeing your updates. A lot of devlogs avoid the mechanical look at what's going on behind the scenes, I like seeing all that. Looking forward to the next one.
ОтветитьThis game idea is so cool! I also like how down to earth your video style is. Have a good one!
ОтветитьAbsolutely love the project!
Ответитьhope it goes well with you, your family and your game
ОтветитьI love this kind of thing, conceptualizing complex behaviour etc...
ОтветитьDon't give up this is really cool stuff
ОтветитьI have never heard someone sound so tired and be so relatable. Dad game dev to dad game dev, right there with you man
ОтветитьThis is beyond insane! I really, sincerely hope this game will see the light of day, because this might be the most innovative idea I have ever seen. A self generating story can lead to infinite experiences.
ОтветитьI'm currently in my 3rd year (out of 4) of university for video game development, and I need to do my final project for the next 12 months.
You have inspired me a lot, and I will do it about a world completely directed by AI, focusing on the ecosystem (animal migrations, maybe packs of wolves each having their territory, villagers with roles within the village, etc.).
Thanks a lot!!! ^^
Yo, I'm another solo indie dev. I've been loving the journey, and it inspired me to start my own devlog series, which has been really personally rewarding, so I appreciate it. Your YT work is always impressive! Speaking of impressive, your progress, man! Implementing the factory pattern is ingenious for a game like what I imagine this will turn into. Can't wait for the next one!
ОтветитьVery cool system! It's very impressive just how interconnected snd complicated it all is!
ОтветитьThis is amazing stuff man, really invested in this, looking forward on the next video!
ОтветитьLove to see the progress!
Life is a lot, don't worry about keeping pace with the internet's expectations. Work at a humane pace and keep at it! We're excited for the progress as it comes.
With it all being action=>consequence right now, how do you prevent everything turning into iron before the player can get there to interact with it?
ОтветитьI love watching this come together! Keep up the great work, but make sure to take care of yourself
ОтветитьCame here for the What If Pod sounder at the start
ОтветитьVery interesting! Such a complex system and here I'm struggling to make RTS resource gathering in my game xD
By the way how are you going to optimize so many calculations which have to be done in the background. Every single entity, even off screen has to perform these calculations for history and archivist. And as we know Unity engine is single threaded (unless you create non engine threads or something)
Está ficando cada vez melhor!
ОтветитьThis video is such a vibe! 😆😴
