It feels like it lacks the magic and charm of the original.

Those backgrounds look too mundane for a magical world.

Simon doesn't seem as sassy as he was in the original. I'll still get this though.

Enjoyed Simon the Sorcerer back on the Amiga, hope they haven't made it for modern audiences by stuffing it with The Message, sucking the soul out of it.

Did they get the original programmers or writers to work on this? Because I've looked up the "Simon the Sorcerer" series and it looks like its...run the gamut from sequel to sequel. One of the worst of course being "Simon the Sorcerer 3D" as to be expected.
