what if i cut a hole thats like 5 meters away. still 90 mins?
Ответитьwhat if i start on the top of mount everest
ОтветитьSo 45 minutes for 12,000 kilometers? Isn't there a limit to how fast I will accelerate when I fall?
ОтветитьHe's talked about how the earth is actually an oblate spheroid though, and how earth is slightly pear shaped. Is it really the same all the way around?
ОтветитьBro forgot to account for air resistance. No way you would actually get out.
ОтветитьWouldn’t you just get stuck in the middle because Earth gravity is pulling on you from all sides
Ответить90 minute trip to come out the OTHER side.. but he says it's 45 minutes to go the diameter. If you travel the diameter, then fall back through, then its a round trip in 90 minutes. Otherwise it's 45 minutes for a radius as you accllerate to the middle and another 45 minutes as you decelerate past the middle at the same rate. Thus, he made a mistake while explaining it. But he also mentioned a satellite takes the same amount of time to complete an orbit, aka fully circumventing the earth, not only half way. He is bouncing back and forth between a round trip travelling two diameters to return to the same point (matching the time it takes to go around the circumference as a satellite) vs one trip through the earth taking 90 minutes to coming out the "other" side but only a one way trip not a round trip. His explanation doesn't hold internal consistency and he doesn't get called out for it.
ОтветитьHe should have just said:
- 42 minutes one-way through the Earth.
- 84 minutes round trip through the Earth.
- 90 minutes for a satellite to orbit around the Earth.
His explaination was confusing because its a 90 minute ROUND trip. Accellerate to the center, twice. Decellerating from the center, twice. 45 minutes to travel the diameter, then 45 minutes to travel the diameter back. But you accellerate twice, and decellerate twice. And its 90 minutes to come other the other side and then come back to the same side you started.
This could be an extreme sport. Can energy drink companies afford to dig this hole?
