Don't Move Your Horses To Florida

Florida isn't bad for horses. Ocala is a big horse area. Your problem is you moved horses to a hot climate that haven't been in a hot climate any smart person can see the issue. Do t blame Florida. It was to hot for me. Loved Colorado hate the government there.

So... where do you go to vet school? Seems impractical when moving all over the US...

As someone who has lived in both Colorado and Florida, ill never go back to FL. I hate that place so much and my family and I came back to CO after about a year

I've watched a lot of your videos and let me just say this: Thank you for being an animal rights activist who keeps your focus on real issues you can show and prove and aims your focus at the people responsible for the abuse. When I see a lot of animal rights activists, they could be talking about legit animal abuse problem but I don't actually know because they're screeching at me for not getting involved enough. It's like, "Sorry, I don't know anything about horses. I just learned about big lick yesterday." What's the point of you raising awareness if everyone is already supposed to be aware? (Bonus points if they bring up that the abuse is a big industry secret, which stands to reason I wouldn't know!)

But your videos are thoughtful. You put forth an argument, you present evidence, and you aim your anger at the people actually responsible, not at the people who aren't aware or either can't or don't know any better. If I look to the other side of the argument, you've equipped me to ask the tough questions. And I feel like I can ask you tough questions that you wouldn't be afraid to take them on.

You are what Activism should look like on all fronts.

Please feel free to take a Break and focos on Your priorities you're doing an Excellent Job If i were to own Horses I would probably move somewhere that is colder or Warm climate instead of extremely hotter climates like Florida i could think of example like New York, not the City area im talking more like the Wooded area of new york we got Virginia, Vermont, or out of the country like Finland they got the reindeers they tend to get along with Horses

It's also important to not move during the summer. I wouldn't move anything here during the summer. At least move during the fall... October-November. It's crazy here, I'm sorry you didnt enjoy your stay in Florida but life here is not for the weak!

I just wanted to point out that my gelding London had the worst allergies in CA and is so happy and allergy free in Florida so it really just depends on the horse. He is originally from WA and was in OR when I bought him. But it’s definitely something to think about. For my one that is allergic he’s under a fan when the bugs are out.

Riley I've got a question for you cuz I admire your knowledge. What do you think of the RV trail riders ? There are a couple who sold everything. Bought a couple horses in an RV and motorcycles and are traveling. I'm not sure they seem a little off. What is your opinion on them?

Raleigh! I know you probably quit exposing abusers for horses, but PawsForEva is abusing horses and posting about it! They're yanking around the pony's small legs and saying "Is this a normal reaction?" When the pony is being dragged and barely able to catch her balance, there was another video where the pony was having an anxiety attack and the man was yanking on its lead rope constantly. I turned off their channel and immediately turned to you- This is just cruel..

It's also common that horses traveling to Florida for the races and events to have severe allergic reactions to the grass itself. I did some of my class hours at a horse vets, and there was always at least one horse there covered in hives, having to be stalled and fed hays from out of state.

I also had a dog that the vet determined to be "allergic to Florida," which is apparently a thing. She had to be on prednisone her whole life.

It's a good thing you left Florida. Hope you and your horses are well in Colorado.

Oh honey, congratulations on the baby 🎉 so sorry you're having such a stressful time with moving and now the horses haven't terrible issues that is SO stressful on a new momma! Just whatever you do, dont forget to put yours and your babies health and well-being first. Be careful not to pick up any toxins from the horse's medications or possibly parasites. Praying your hosres get better soon!!!!

Well, im so sorry im late to the party, but congrats on the pregnancy. And im so happy to see someone who absolutely cares about their animals. I live in Louisiana and the bugs are bad here. We have 2 horses and the horse flies and other bugs are horrible. Seeing how much you care has made me see more and more abuse to animals and want to speak up about it. Thank you for your videos and take as much time as you need. You dont have to force out videos for us. We will wait, i promise. Just concentrated on the horses, yourself (and the baby), your husband, and all your other animals.

We are having huge issues with horse thieves in Florida. They are stealing horses from all over the area on the east coast, and maybe all over the state. I do not know what they are doing with the horses specifically once stolen, but my guess (no evidence, just a guess) would be either auctions and/or slaughter. They are targeting businesses and families alike.

Same thing happens if you buy horses from Iceland and move them to any other part of Scandinavia. Very often they become allergic to Knott (gnats) and sometimes other insects as well. Not much you can do.

im moving out of florida to washington with my horse in march does anyone know if horses who have lived in florida their whole life have trouble going to a colder state?
