Try spamming pikeman or spear infantry with shielded infantry support you can easily win the battle but you need a few infantry to defend archers from cavarly and if you can put the archers to high ground it will increase your winning rate

I think a good way to turn up the challenge for this stage of the playthrough is to let your lords start forming their own armies and making their own decisions and you have to use your party to play around them. Especially now that you have got yourself a good base for a good AI army or two to form and act on their own. It'd be interesting to see how you play around your lords making less than perfect military decisions and you only have your party of 400 to flex around and try to cover your AI's mistakes.

Hey JackieFish, it would be pretty cool if you had a few specialist units too. For example 30-40 Khuzait horse archers that you can use strategically in field battles. Mobile archers that you can reposition past enemy lines would be quite beneficial I think (and add something new to the mostly infantry and archer based battles)
