Of course they're worth it!

I’m glad to see you are back with some new videos and I hope that means you have been feeling better Amy❤️ the polychromos are a crowd pleaser. They’re definitely my favorite colored pencils! You’re right about them being able to retain that sharp point. It’s one of their biggest strengths. I’ve only had to replace a couple of pencils over the years (my most used ones like black, sepia, indigo) because you don’t need to sharpen them constantly. Even though solvent isn’t my preferred method of blending, I would only use it on the polychromos tbh because trying to use it with other colored pencils has never given me the results I wanted. They have been 100% worth it for me!😊

I need to play around with different colorless blenders. I'm curious what would happen if I mixed a Copic colorless blender on a Polychromo Pencil.

This was a very nice review of the Faber Castell Pholychromos. I have a set of 36 and planning to add more to my set this year. Everything that was spoken about them is very true. Keep up the great reviews as we make serious decisions on the best art supplies that our money can buy!! :-)

That sharpener is biting your pencils.

But using the Luminance pencil as an alternative works? Isn’t the Luminance a wax pencil?
