Looks alot like webOS!
ОтветитьJust got my Manjaro CE Pinephone. Might just try this out at one point, although for now I'm just going to try one OS at a time.
ОтветитьWhat phone stand is that?
ОтветитьMy god, I miss my palm pre 1 and 3. I have never written mails that fast. I think it was even faster then using my PC. Best mobile keyboard phone ever created. Hating HP for killing it...
ОтветитьNice video!
Note for PinePhone users: Don't run this image as your main distribution! Since this uses a different Linux kernel, you may run into bugs that the original project won't really be able to help you with.
Was tempted to try this, but having watched the video it is clear that Ubuntu Touch is far and away the most stable and mature OS. The others almost seem shoe-horned in to a phone size screen. Going to stick with Ubuntu Touch for now and just hope that they can get Telephony working in a reliable way, although they seem in no rush to fix a major bug in the primary use case of a phone.
ОтветитьYou've earned a Sub from me. I'll be sharing this video as well.
ОтветитьNeed to test and show the calling functionality - it is after all a phone and not just a handheld PC.
Bluetooth as well would be nice.
Nice to see you still reporting on tech Brad :) I love this rom so much.
Ответитьit will be the ultimate experience if It could dual boot android/linageOS with a linux distro.....would become the ultimate device but for some reason we dont have a linage os port for it
ОтветитьOk.. got it, (the updated) wanted to try Arch Linux (the first)
Now it asks me for “alarm login” & “pasword”
Can’t find the login and password on the website, only the 1111 and Manjaro logins..
LuneOS works fine, looks nice to.
Sailfish also looks and feels very good..
Ubuntu Touch also very nice!
The web browsers love to know non google etc ones
ОтветитьI remember that Maemo on my Nokia N900. I miss that phone.
ОтветитьSailfish OS looks great.
ОтветитьThanks for reviewing vid!!!
ОтветитьIs this phone able to make monitor mode wifi
ОтветитьI've ran Sailfish for over a year on my daily driver, it's definitely more polished on the officially supported phones, but waay more responsive than all these other Linux variants. Still good to see that people are still developing options alternative to Android and iOS
ОтветитьIt's not a test - it's "say hello to desktop"
Ответитьтелефон тормозит или мне кажется?
ОтветитьI honestly just use the multiboot image for distro hopping lol
ОтветитьWhat Linux distro runs fastest on PinePhone BETA? PostmarketOS? Arch BareBones? Ubuntu Touch? or..............?
ОтветитьI'd you can bypass and disable the hardware switches with software, then you can enable them in software. There goes security! 😜
ОтветитьAnyone tried running MX Linux, a systemd-free distro based on Debian?
Ответить
