As a Ukrainian whose family was part of these extraordinary events, and looking back at it now, I can just say that Maidan was an amazing example of power of basic democracy when ordinary people have proven that standing up for what they believe in can achieve. It also shows how frightened Kremlin mafia became of those events to come up with a ridiculous statement that Maidan was organised by America, and with that statement taking power away from real people. They are still afraid that Russians can do the same. I’m also very sad EU have not heard our voices and we are still paying the ultimate price for our place in EU.
