HBO’s bullshit decision to solely adopt Mushroom’s account of Aegon notwithstanding (you know, where he says was a rapist and child abusing creep), he’s actually a very tragic character.
I think they did it because if they hadn’t, then the audience would have likely favored him over his half-sister too disproportionately.
