Very nice work Matt! I prefer a brushed finish on SAK scale that’s why I usually replace the stock scales on mine.
ОтветитьHi Matt love the videos
Ответитьnice! 3 layer with a large file is grail
ОтветитьGreat tool selection. It seems that time and time again that people wish for this array. My wishful dream of a Victorinox is the Pioneer X with the large file/saw.
ОтветитьNice video Matt. I too find the much maligned parcel hook quite useful. It has one particularly usefull function for the conservation work I do in South Africa. The water levels of most of our reservoirs and natural water bodies fluctuate tremendously and discraded or snapped off nylon monofilament and braided fishing becomes exposed and is deadly to birds and other wildlife. The line is often 'anchored' in dried mud and is impossible to pull out by band as it will cut you to pieces. We place the line over the parcel hook and rap it around the shaft a few times. One can then apply as much force as needed to remove the line from the hard-baked mud; a small piece of line protruding from the mud often lands up being a 50m length. Probalby not of much relevance to most people, but very useful for me and I always carry a SAK with a parcel hook when working around waterbodies.
ОтветитьI'm not really getting the purpose of the notches on the blade?
ОтветитьNice job! Do the brass scales add much weight?
ОтветитьHi Matt. How do those brass liners wear and age over time? Do they tarnish?
ОтветитьShould the SAK community put pressure on victorinox to utilise the fourth slot?
ОтветитьNice custom for your own enjoyment .
ОтветитьI'm thinking of custom plus scales for my other victorinox models and the implication of the fourth slot.
ОтветитьAwesome knife slippy
ОтветитьVery cool! Thanks for taking us through this SAK you made! I would definitely enjoy seeing you make one in the a video!
ОтветитьVery nice, really like the brass and the black scales together. Will you be posting a video of you doing a custom in the future?
ОтветитьGreat job.
ОтветитьThat knife is absolutely beautiful, buddy! Cheers!
ОтветитьBrilliant! What do you charge for a custom like this?
ОтветитьThat thumb!!!!!!!!! Looks like mine.
That SAK looks fantastic. I love the brass liners.
Nice job
ОтветитьI find the Hook is useful for pulling tabs on beer cans.
ОтветитьGreat knife, beautiful work! You carry 2 tweezers or is there a fire steel in slot 4?
ОтветитьI'm sure you already know this. I probably saw it on your channel at some point. Pick your allox victorinox. Mask the shield with electrical tape. Paint the scales with nail polish the colour of your choice. Let it dry. Gently using very fine wet & dry, take of the top layer of nail polish, so the resesses will be the colour. If you hash it up. Just use nail polish remover and start again. Great videos, by the way 👏
ОтветитьYou did a great job on that. I really like the brass liners with the black scales - very stylish !
ОтветитьA lovely knife indeed. I use the parcel hook as a lace-puller for ice skates.
ОтветитьWhere’s the orange peeler ? No orange peeler no Executive.
ОтветитьI love the look and the tool selection of this one
ОтветитьMissed this one really nice job on that awesome SAK Slippy ya never disappoint me brother 🇺🇲🙏😎
