coming from someone who has lived their whole life in florida, unfortunately, I think the reason people are so crazy is genuinely because of the heat. it’s absolutely disgusting going outside and it’s only gotten worse over the years. also, south florida, north florida, and orlando are basically three completely different states lol. we have a saying that the more north you go, the more southern you get. most floridians don’t even consider orlando as a “real” part of florida since it’s mainly just a tourist trap.

just want to mention for the UK and other non-American viewers, there are not riots happening in LA. what is being put out by the government is propaganda. the protests were largely non violent and the president went around the governor to send in military and national guard, which he is not supposed to do as the state has first call. if there is violence there, it is because the president sent troops to use force against citizens.
