ОтветитьCan I just say something off topic my great great grandfather was the engineer of general Montgomerys aircraft in Africa
ОтветитьHow much do you get paid to be a reenactor
ОтветитьI have a question how do reenactors pretend to get stabbed? Do they use like those retracting knives?
ОтветитьGod, you are just absolute Chadicus.
ОтветитьI'm starting my Vietnam and ww2 replica gun collection
Ответитьi have a question are there ww1 reenactments? and have you attended one if there is one?
ОтветитьMake a « Operation Cottage » loadout
ОтветитьOf my word yes I had the same problem with my fallschirmjäger gloves they wear them different and often only during jumps 😢
ОтветитьMy guy is gorgeous
ОтветитьThis might be wrong since I got out in 2007, but the Canadian military used to issue gloves that look identical to the reproduction ones, I think it was part of the cold weather kit. I still have mine somewhere buried in a storage bin. Might be worth looking at some Canadian army surplus stores, if they have them they're probably less expensive than the reproductions.
ОтветитьDo you use real helmets?
Ответитьwhat’s is the best way to get into reenactments??
ОтветитьUS reenactment guys are ALWAYS fuckin losers lmao
ОтветитьWe don’t get a discount from your sponsor?
ОтветитьDude it's lame as hell to do that. Lol you basically a bunch of grown men who wanna relive something that you never came close to actually being in
ОтветитьSee what I would like abt it the most is I don’t actually die
ОтветитьOof right in the wallet😂
ОтветитьThere are some pictures of the 505th PIR in WW2 France wearing paratrooper gloves with a buckle on it. You weren't completely out of era. I believe the gloves with the buckles were issued in the late 1930's and the 1940 era ones did not have buckles, as you mentioned. But, it isn't outside of the realm of possiblity that US paratroopers couldn't get their hands on the late 1930's gloves during the 1940's.
ОтветитьHow old do you have to be to reenact
ОтветитьOne of my grandfather's was in the 82nd airborne and jumped into France
ОтветитьSeriously hope hollywood starts using this guy as a consultant.
ОтветитьDude your gloves had buckles? Cringee lol jk

ОтветитьDon’t be embarrassed bro, your teaching folk like me everyday 🫡🙏
ОтветитьGood News is:
You look Amazing in that fine Yellow Leather
That first photo of World War II was one of the filthy 13
Ответить125 dollars for those gloves honestly wouldn't really be worth that much.
ОтветитьMy understanding is the gloves with the buckle is the M1938 Riding Glove for Cavalry and the glove with the buckle removed is the M1940 Riding Glove. My guess is the reason you see the M1940 used by Airborne troops, is it was probably available in greater quality since it was newer and the M1938 was only made for two years? I believe the Airborne also largely used the M1918 mounted cartridge belt. Go Cav!
Ответитьwich begs the question, who did use those buckled gloves?
ОтветитьReenactments sound awesome. But I'm broke and have no idea where to get the items
Ответитьthats actually a good price considering I used to buy hand made real leather deer and cow leather gloves nothing special for $40-65
ОтветитьIf I remember correctly, the wrong gloves were even featured in Brothers in Arms Hell's Highway.
ОтветитьW McNasty
ОтветитьBros jawline can cut the crust of this blue trap bubble istg 🙏
ОтветитьYa know learning a bit more about ww2 its like, okay why did that company have tocgo through 4000 photos just to see if there was a tual evidence of a "Glove" being worn.
Like there wasnt any surplus goin around?
BUT then i learn after the war we dumped tons of equipment into the ocean 😂
Hey! As a female interested in WW2 reenacting, does anyone have any suggestions on how to get into a combat unit? I know American women weren't in combat roles, but I really think I could look the part, and no one would be able to tell. I understand about historical accuracy. I just thought I could ask. Thanks in advance!
ОтветитьI wish I had such level of dedication. Guys studied 4000 photos just to find out which particular type of gloves had been used
ОтветитьGerman para!
