I was so shocked by every single record especially compared to what I would try for a lot of these 😆 Yoshi Circuit being Wario Flame Flyer inside drift among other things was insane, GBA RR looks like so much with all of the huge cuts being used

Only problem with Retro Rewind is that it's theoretically possible to TAS WRs which is stupid

i remember when records were first being tracked for retro rewind, i (a not very good time trialer) set some of the first records on tracks that didn't have records with some really funny combos. the first and second records on wario stadium were done with the wario bike (not by me but still noteworthy) which is also funny. good times.

Edit: i also discovered the world record shortcut on 200cc Yoshi Circuit, where you fly so high off the shortcut ramp the you ride on top of the hill instead of through the tunnel and skip the entire tunnel!
Edit 2: just saw the end where you showcase that shortcut. guess i didn't have to explain that!

They don't take every players world records. For example I have Snes Choco Island 1 BKT and they don't recognize it. Hopefully they get a better ranking system figured out so that it's not just favoritism

Unironically Karts are stronger than bikes on tracks with lots of turns in RR

ultra mini turbos used to be so broken that EVERY world record was with karts, seems like they still might need to be nerfed again lol

I remember flambambam using wild wing online and it felt nearly unbeatable compared to his shooting star which I beat every time

Love your reactions vids! Only started playing RR recently, seeing that they have over 150 staff ghosts got me thinking of your Troy vs Custom Track days, loved that series. I know you said you don't Time Trial anymore, can't blame you there, but could be cool to see you crush some of the staff ghosts on this mod, maybe make a challenge of it with a time limit or something? Wario also gives a boost to MT, so it probably makes it easier to chain the MTs.

Snowland is so stupid like why did they design it that way like what retro rewind
