i'm abit late but in the OG games you could trick the game in gaining good rep with the faction of the Stalker you gave the medkit too, sadly i'm pretty sure the removed that in Anomaly and GAMMA tho lol

After years of playing I had no idea you could do this. Always wondered why there was a "Surrenders" stat...

This turns out to be really useful if you're playing as UNISG, since you need to go undercover and a lot of factors such as your gun's condition comes into play (if you don't modify any of the disguise settigs.)

I did this as military in rostok after massacr- I mean defending myself at the bar. The stalker I spared with a medkit proceeded to get back up, pick up one of the other weapons from the stalkers I killed and shot me in the back.

Does this work on gamma?

Using a combination of Intimidate Enemies into Surrendering and Convert Enemies into Your Faction addons, you can do the interrogating without firing a shot (if you sneak up behind them and hold them at gunpoint without being noticed) and a chance to have them joining to your side.

Yea when I downed a Monolith I didn’t even realized he was downed and he was hidden among Freedom and other Monolith bodies but thankfully he wasn’t mad at me shooting him he even gave a free ticket to heaven

Don't shoot people in the back when they're running from you, c'mon man.

Small tip if your looking for grenades Monolith always carry one. tip two Mercs idk if this is true or not they seam more likely to fake it and melee you.

one time a Merc surrendered. i gave med hit me went and surrendered a second time on a electric anomaly I got him up and he waked away

I've done this as merc, I'm now the owner of several PDA.

I recommend trying this with battle rifle with AP round, You shoot them in the stomach and they're just lay down bleeding lol

From my experience they just punch me in the face and take my gun every time I talk to one. Maybe they updated it.

you're wrong about the consequences after killing the stalker you just spared. After each kill, your rank will be lowered by 50.

Did this before as two stalkers were down in front of me, and as soon as I choose the option they both stand up and blast me. Doesnt matter if it was a bug or not because that was realistic asf, and also the reason I leave no survivors.

I tried the second option with a Merc and he stood up, punched me, took my gun and almost killed me.

All I want is friendship in return but such is life in the zone.

Can't interrogate if I have already put a slug in their chest cavity twice.

Aw man, missed probably 2 opportunities to do so. Missed a pure opportunity.

This was still the early game and I had killed a small squad of roaming bandits with... A very broken rifle (can't remember the name, it's like the SKS but it's reloaded by the mag) I scavenged when some poor bandit spawned nearby for my friends to finish off before I even started the "tutorial mission" (Fanatic).
One of them surrendered, I was like, "Oh! Cool. Can I take his loot like this? I saw no prompt for it so I just popped 9x18 into his skull.

Another one was when I grenade a group of camping bandits (after unceremoniously trying to kill all 4 of them with a slightly weathered PM).
One of them was knocked out and I wanted to use this "powdered can" to finish him. It said it would explode when shot. After 8 shots of 9x18 and one or two from my rifle, it did nothing. After just sitting next to him, staring into his face wondering what to do, he stood up, knocked me aside and stunned me. Luckily, he just wants to watch me suffer from the stun. Loaded him with lead after that.

Monolith are overusers of grenades, listen for the pin pop sound, then shoot his face off - free grenade, every time.
