How to Filter the DataGrid in WPF, MVVM

Do you filter the data on client side or server side (database level)? because filtering the data on client side means you fetch all data from server to your app, then apply the filter!!

The music was as loud or louder than the voice so I couldn't follow anything you were saying. :( I followed what you were doing, but it's a shame that I couldn't hear anything but the music. :/
