Yes a funny man R.I.P. and he was born in Ventnor in the Isle of Wight and not London. I saw him first in Man About The House a hilarious performance. I never new he was in the Ken Russell movie The Devils. I hope your having a laugh with Yootha Joyce and Peter Sallis and all your friends etc. Oh and the programme his wife was in is spelt Hi-Di-Hi but pronounced Hi-Dee-Hi.

I can watch George & Mildred all day long on repeat. One my most favourite comedies filmed way b4 I was born. 2 of the best actors have no left us but I'll never forget the laughs they both gave me. Thank you for making me laugh when I didn't think I would. RIP Murphy.

Not many left now, from that golden-era of British sitcoms...I'm so glad I was born early 1960's and actually lived through these great times. Brian Murphy truly was genius at his craft and both Man About the House and George and Mildred are firm favourites of mine. Me and my late mum used to watch episodes of all those great shows together, which gave us so many laughs and I will always cherish those wonderful times. Thanks Brian, you really did bring all your fans a ton of laughs and many great times...not bad eh?!
