ya mean the best dio
ОтветитьDose anyone else just like Alternate universe Za Waldo for no reason at all other than yes or just me
ОтветитьYou can never skip a JoJo Opening. Glad we got a new OP for part 6
ОтветитьI like both Dio and Diego, found Dio fun and entertaining ( sceams out every word he says ,Polnareff tom foolery, and does evil stuff because yes, except for him killing Danny, luckily he got justice for it along with everyone else).
But i also like Diego not only because he was also entertaining but also because i kinda wanted him to win and felt sad when he died... Twice
Non sympathie villains can be better, it heavily depends on the story and how they are written
ОтветитьDiego is my favorite antagonist. He had a hard life with a loving mother who embedded within him a sense of pride, and with her passing a dark determination to do anything to rise above the masses. Other Jojo big bads are either simple in their motives, or are some kind of radical. The depths of Diego make him more of a rival than a villain.
ОтветитьI'd say that even villains who are pure evil still have their place. Sympathetic villains can often times feel generic. We have currently reached a point where sympathetic villains AND villains who try to be deep but are actually really plain (the latter ruining the reputation of the former) have created a situation where often times villains who are purely villains can feel... Refreshing.
Though purely evil villains can still be done right, if you take for example Kirei Kotomine from the Fate series, if you take his backstory, events in Fate/Zero and all three routes of Fate/Stay Night, you see a man who is a truly despicable person, a horrible man who simply takes joy in the suffering of others, yet, at one point he tried to do good, simply because he knew that being good is what is socially acceptable. Because being good is what is right.
It's never brought him happiness, none of it. It's only when he finally lets go, lets himself accept that what he truly enjoys most, is the suffering and pain of others, that he truly becomes happy.
To me, that makes him a really interesting villain, he reaches a middle ground that I really adore. Him being a pure evil villain that feels so well written because, that's just who Kirei is, he was born like this, he was born evil and yet, that's what makes him compelling, because he knows what he is, as he asks himself in the end of Fate/Zero "Has my father sired such a dog?" he understands what he is and even as he says those words, he laughs.
Regarding Diego, I feel that Diego is by all accounts a far more well developed character, who truly feels like he is better written. HOWEVER... Dio is by all accounts more charismatic than Diego and that is what makes Dio so iconic, his charisma.
DIO is NOT a purely evil villain lmfao. You can see the whole depth of his character explained further and further and the reason he is how he is and WHY he is.
We get a POV of DIO in the novel "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Over Heaven", in which we get to read DIO's diary. The canonicity of this novel is dubious, but there's nothing that directly contradicts the events or characterization portrayed in it, and even if you choose not to count it, DIO is way more than purely evil and we see how he evolves to be as much of an asshole as he ends up being from the very start, even to the point of his abusive father whom he ended up murdering.
To the unexperienced reader, DIO is the mascot of JJBA, even though he was barely in it. That's how big of a permanent dent he left in the storyline.
Ответитьaraki should do a DIO spin off
ОтветитьWell put
ОтветитьIm excited for steel ball and run if it ever gets animated
ОтветитьWait if alt Diego stopped time before main Diego head collide with him could he be able to dodge it or is it just homes in on him even in stop time
ОтветитьGood evening 🌃. I'm fan of jojo bizarre adventure⭐️🌊💎. Everyone have great day and next day and week and weekend and next week and full happiness 😊😊😊😊😊😊. Great video and keep make more great videos 😊😊😊😊😊😊.
ОтветитьI'm out of the loop on steel ball run and I'm sorry the corpse of WHAT. of WHOMST?
Ответить"Relatability and sympathy will always be king" insert Jack Horner from puss in boots the last wish
Ответитьhaven't watched the video yet but i agree with the title full heartedly. siegel is my favorite character in all of jojo's
ОтветитьI love the man's name idk why it's just fire
ОтветитьWatch Diego’s “za waurdo” sound more majestic than Dio’s
ОтветитьPart 1,3 and 6 Dio is a villain.
Part 7 Dio is an antagonist.
Someone says this and I completely agree His the world is better btw.
ОтветитьI totally agree with you so I decided to Power scale Diego and Diego au since I think they are both strong characters and it could be a good addition to the video :)
Diego Brando SM: To begin with, the speed of Scary Monsters can be evaluated by considering the battle between D4C and Tusk. Tusk reacted to and moved the light barrier of Love Train, Its bullets pierced through LT, suggesting that Funny Valentine had MFTL+ reaction speed. In his previous fight against Diego, without LT, Diego with SM reacted faster than regular D4C, dodging its attacks even in a 3 vs 1 situation. In one panel, it’s mentioned that Diego was faster than Valentine, implying his reaction and attack speed are MFTL+. In terms of strength, he should range from large building level+ to city block level (in a mid-high ball), and small building level+ (Low ball), with MFTL reaction, combat, and attack speeds, and his durability should be equal to his AP.
The World AU: In my opinion, it has the same stats as DIO’s The World from Part 3, since Araki provided no information to deny or confirm it. Based on the Sun feat from Part 3, The World is many times faster than light, surpassing many other stands. Therefore, The World AU shares the same attack and reaction speed, and by the rule of three, the inertia and impact force of its blows (AP) must be the same as DIO’s The World (ranging from multi-city block level to large town level), and its durability should match its AP, as it’s seen destroying human limbs and bodies in his fight against johnny, similar to DIO’s feat of severely injuring Jotaro with a barrage of kicks before throwing the road roller at him.
Diego Brando AU: Diego has MFTL+ reaction speeds when he did his time-stopping feat to dodge Tusk's bullets in his first appearance. Reaction speed = combat and attack speed, so Diego has those three MFTL+ speeds (reinforced by the panel where Diego and his stand simultaneously throw knives at Johnny, with Diego moving at the same speed as The world in stopped time). As for strength, during the final stretch of the race and his fight against Tusk, Diego's horse, Silver Bullet, not being a stand user, was frozen in stopped time, so logically, Diego had to keep moving his own horse while fighting with Johnny, dodging nail bullets and trying to win the race. An adult light horse can weigh up to 600 kg, so Diego, to be able to perform that feat, would have to have Class 1 lifting strength, which is the world deadlift record in real-life history (542 to 100 kg according to Fandom Wiki). This feat demonstrates Diego's skill and strength. Finally, his stand chopped off his leg with a punch, he endured it and continued fighting until he won the race. We could say that his durability and endurance are at large building level+ to city-block+.
Diego Brando (From another world)
AP- Wall (Even room level in a high ball)
DC- Wall
TS- Peak human (Far higher with Silver bullet if you want to count it :V)
Durability & endurance: Large building level+ to city block (low-ball), multi-city block to small town (mid-ball), small town to town+ (high ball).
Hax: Time manipulation and peak human and superhuman capabilities (Time stop with High universal range).
The World (Au)
AP- Town level
DC- Small building level
TS- MFTL (Within a range of ten meters)
Durability: City to Multi-city block (lowball), Small town (mid-ball), Town+ (highball)
Hax: Time manipulation, massively above superhuman attributes, massive precision, Non-physical interaction and massive movement in a 10-meter range
as a diego brando (scary monsters SPECIFICALLY!!!) kinnie i am incredibly happy with this
ОтветитьSteel ball run universe scaling is kinda crazy like the mc’s all sweep the original universe
ОтветитьDio can be a bit of a... Scary monster
ОтветитьStardust Crusaders is definitely his Magnum Opus tho
ОтветитьDiego Brando is my favourite character, especially when he hits that ‘me time’ in the manga.
Ответитьyea ill give this one a ❌ dio is my goat
ОтветитьThey both come close for me in brexit geezer terms “just a bit of banter” for Part 3/6 DIO vs Diego (Original) in terms of writing and character direction
ОтветитьDio in the end shouldn't have had ' The world ' as his stand it just kinda felt underwhelming when compared to his dinosaur ability
ОтветитьI almost feel bad for him, he could have been the good guy, but his ambitions always take him down an evil path
ОтветитьDiego needs to come back in JoJo lands as DIO did in original universe part 3.
ОтветитьI wouldn't discount OG Dio to being just a "one dimensional" evil villian, there is still a lot of value in villians just being evil for personal gain and nothing else. OG Dio is such a fun villian BECAUSE he is so unapologatical evil which makes it the more so satisfying when a pure evil villian like him gets finally his sh*t kicked in. I also grown tired of the "sympathetic" villian archetype, its been done too many times and i wouldn't call it better or more realistic. There are a lot of evil people out there like OG Dio (unfortunately), so villians like this are just as realistic. While they have their reason why they became the way they did, the last thing i want to do is to sympathize with them. I also feel like a lot of modern writers write these sympathetic villians because they want others to sympathize with their own bad personality and there are plenty of people who sympathize more with villians than with the heroes these days which in a way just shows their own evil which they are hiding.
ОтветитьOk but is he the better DIO?
ОтветитьDidn’t he threaten to sa and torture Lucy Steel? How is that sympathetic
ОтветитьNO SPOILER WARNING?
ОтветитьZa warudo
ОтветитьI would like to disagree people make choices and they choose to be good or evil what you were subjected to doesn't defines you but your actions does, it's really that simple .
ОтветитьThought they were the same person
ОтветитьHot take prolly, I wish he didn’t have those stupid letters on his hat that spell DIO. Whatever the reason, it’s a silly way to let readers know “oh by the way this guy is dio in case you couldn’t tell”
ОтветитьMetas Im gonna be hella honest Dio remains the same character only this time he isn t a vampire and didn t remain stuck at the bottom of the ocean for a 100 years where became a nihilist
ОтветитьTbh I think Brando and Jobin are really comparable in how good they were and the kind of role they played, the issue being Jobin got sidelined in favour of a far worse character and Brando didn’t.
ОтветитьNah dio is too iconic
ОтветитьI am still waiting for diego to return in part 9, now with the upper half of his body encased in a glass container, ready to take Jodio's lower half, sleep for a hundred years, and then return with a plan to take over the world.
ОтветитьWhat is the song that you use in the intro of the video?
ОтветитьI still feel like alternate world Diego is kinda a step down from Dino Diego. He feels more like part three dio which there’s nothing wrong with but we lost a bit of momentum that Dino Diego had brought with the switch.
ОтветитьDo you think OG DIO cared about his mom?
ОтветитьBro did my boi Dio so dirty
ОтветитьI JUST GOT A JURASSIC PARK AD🤑
ОтветитьIF YOU TALK DIEGO IS BETTER DUE TO VOICE Dio Brando aka DIO and Diego have the same voice actor
Ответить
